Harpoons; from the Hurk side missions, once completed you acquire the harpoon gun (I don't remember if you have to purchase it or not). It's another "fun" weapon introduced into game play; instant kill but far too slow at re-loading.
The one and only fire arrow picked up; from the Wolf's Den tutorial mission given by Amita. Inside the cave when you loot the body.
Correct about what a truck convoy provides you; it only includes what's being carried, and for some reason special arrows were left out. As noted, not included in ammo refills involving the discount.

Well, "not buying ammo" only does a little bit to make the game harder.
Now I'm thinking, could the ability to craft syringes be completely removed? Then you're limited to 8 healing syringes and none of the other three uber-boosts. Or how about removing the ability to harvest plants? This would remove the uber-syringe abilities as well as take away the ability to get filthy rich from the Ghale House garden. Personally I wouldn't miss that aspect of the game at all.
I'm getting a little better at self-discipline in-game, so I'm going to stop harvesting any plants and NOT buy the garden at the Ghale House. Somehow this is easier than resisting using uber-weapons, for me.

That first arrow was likely the wolf cave at the beginning near Kanan's farm. You get a molotov and fire arrow from the cave to aid you in destroying it. OK I'll put together a no fast travel + limited and fragile buzzers + uber expensive ammo mod together soon

If you can, make it no fast-travel, uber expensive ammo, and NO buzzers....any chance of "no harvest plants"?

>any chance of "no harvest plants"? Sorry, but why would you want this? Do you not want syringes or something? This seems like a very specific (and random LOL) request. Just trying to figure out what the intent is.

I know it seems like I'm all over the place. I'm still figuring this game out, and learning the things about it I like and don't like. The reason for no plants is to get rid the syringes, yes, they also are OP to me. I've started playing without them, using willpower (that's a struggle for me). It also gets rid of the ability to get rich from the Ghale House garden. This way you could still carry 8 healing syringes but not carry a back up of dozens of green leaves, and eliminates the other three OP syringes. I'm just trying to get the difficulty near what FC2 was. I swapped-in your no-fast-travel, NO-buzzer, low-GL-ammo mod and I'm resisting buying ammo and harvesting plants, and it finally seems good and tough (and immersive!). I've been in a couple situations where things start to seem real desperate, like in FC2. No-fast-travel and no-buzzers transforms this game in a big way! I'm really enjoying the other forms of travel AND the fact that you can't transport yourself out of trouble back to your nice safe base at any moment.

I really don't understand when it comes to "no harvesting planets" as part of a mod (given the limited access to the code available). Simply don't pick any plants, period. Also, don't upgrade the Ghale Homestead to include the garden. Very simple actually. If it wasn't for the game being so out-of-balance regarding the continuous spawning of animals and resulting attacks, I wouldn't use the green leaves to insure I've got enough to keep playing the game for any length of time. But those are the only leaves I pick. I use no other syringes. I'd use the hunting syringe LV2 if it actually worked as intended to prevent animal attacks (to offset the excessive animal spawning) and didn't also tag everything in the neighborhood (since I play with no tagging). Willpower!!

Mike, You're absolutely right, it's about willpower. When I first came to this forum I was just hoping to find an existing mod. Exerting willpower is very difficult for me in terms of staying immersed, but I'm getting better at it. And yes, some things, like not buying the garden are easy. Finding that JR was able to and willing to make these mods is amazing, and if he is generous enough to make one more then I'm not going to bother him anymore. But a mod to help my willpower really does help me enjoy the game and stay immersed in difficult parts.

I imagine that a lot of your requests can be done via lua. But I'm not sure.

I think maybe the plants are fine. Without the Ghale House garden, it's enough of an effort to get syringes that I'm not tempted to use them. You may have noticed, I can over-think things sometimes I'm enjoying this campaign. It's funny though, I never realized how many people were killed by honey badgers, hehe, and I never realized that eagles were actually nocturnal sky-demons that kill more people than all the other wildlife in Karat combined! lolol JRavens and Mike, I appreciate you guy's thoughts and efforts in this thread, you've made the game more fun!

A long time ago I learned to ignore the NPCs, unless it was to kill them either for the XP and/or ammo. I've started up FC2 again, and it's so refreshing not to deal with XP ...

Hmmm thinking over your request Chuck I wonder if this wouldn't be a better compromise: 1) Make the selling value of leaves very low (say 1/10th their value). This works in tandem with upping the cost of ammo say to 100x since it will be very, very difficult and grindy to collect leaves just to sell. In fact most loot and animal skins would be worth far more than a leaf would. 2) Make the syringe recipes nearly unobtainable. This is fairly easy simply by adjusting what is required to craft them. For example it could be say 20 or 30 of each leaf instead instead of 2 or 3. Or alternatively they can simply be set to 999 of each and then it will in fact be impossible to craft any since your pack will never hold that many leaves. I'm leaning away from having to adjust the individual plants themselves because there are in fact multiple plant varieties of each color so it would require adjusting several dozen plants to remove the leaves from them... though I may be able to simply adjust the loot drop table, but then the plant will still have a harvest animation but simply produce nothing. Hmmm... I'm happy to throw something together for you, but it would help me out if I could hone down exactly what you are looking for and put that together for you. Apologies but my time has been severely limited of late. In fact I'm not even getting to the forums as frequently as I would like I really do appreciate you supporting me on Patreon though so I'm happy to help where I can and when I can

JRavens,
I think this would be perfect.
1.) No fast travel.
2.) NO buzzers. (Zero buzzers for me, but maybe an alternate version with few-and-fragile buzzers for other people?)
3.) Limited ammo for all GLs. (Pull from rocket pool, same as before.)
4.) 100x all ammo cost.
5.) 100x special-arrow cost.
6.) 10x all syringe requirments.
7.) 10% all leaf value. (Not essential.)
8.) 10% the number of eagle attacks OR 10% the damage from eagle attacks. (If possible?)
