Unless I'm missing something it would appear if you wish to use your PC to play Far Cry 5, you'll have to download it. I assume either via Steam or Uplay.
I'm bummed and am truly debating as to when (or if) I will acquire it given how slow my "fast" internet connection happens to be.

And uplay seems to have a slow upload speed anyway even if you have a better connection. Only problem with actual dvds of game is that you would need quite a few of them for some of the newer games.

Well good luck with 80GB of installation media.

I've got previous games on multiple installation DVDs, as I assume others do also. So they have to add one or two for the latest one. Shouldn't be an issue, after all the other platforms are getting physical disks.
This cycles back to that Ubisoft claim regarding its "support" for the PC gamer ...
As for Uplay - have to agree about its best speed, when compared to Steam.

That's too bad if they don't offer a DVD version for sale; though I haven't gone that route since the last Max Payne. I'm on a 60MB/S fiber optic and both Steam and Uplay DLs are capped right around 8MB/S; time to go wash dishes or vacuum!

Hey, I'd take wash the dishes or some vacuuming any day over firing up a download as the Mrs. and I head out the door for a three-day weekend getaway ...
