Got a question for those who have pre-ordered a PC game which involves a digital download.
Basically, do/can you control when the download of the game takes place? I know how it works if the game has already been released; purchase it and click the download button when you wish to add it to your library.
I've seen posts on the Ubisoft forums indicating that at least for some consoles players, the download of their pre-ordered Far Cry 5 game has already been done, however you simply can't play it until the 27th. I assume either it simply goes live at the appointed hour, or you enter a code to activate the game anytime after zero hour.
This is a general question as such, but does apply specifically to the upcoming release of FC5. Discovered there's time in my schedule next week to let the PC be dedicated to downloading a huge amount of data while I wrap up a series of honey-do projects. Appreciate any feedback.

Mike - Here is a message I got from Ubisoft about Farcry 5
'You will be able to pre-download your game on the 23/03 to play immediately at midnight on 27/03!'
So I presume that I will be able to download anytime between the 23rd and the 27th. Hope this helps.

Thanks for responding Jimbo - What I wanted to learn, not what I wanted to hear since I don't think I can get away with dragging out the projects ...
