jr i looked at the link u had for the comparison for fc 2 and 4, nice comparison, i found the fc2 brooding, scary, edgy and innovative, the first time a firearm exploded in my hands during a firefight and it startled the heck out of me, left a skid mark also.i got perforated had to start from the last check point if i remember right. i don't think there has been another game with that feature, could be wrong, fc 4 definitely more fun factor ( still miss those exploding and jamming firearms, lol)

Yep absolutely. I had the same experience. Plus it's an extra layer of... immersion. In Far Cry 2 you would have to actually go into the armory and grab your weapons off the wall and out of crates. In 3 and 4 you just navigate some menus. Even the idle animations were fantastic. Why can't we have this in the later games (watch how the hero examines his own gun while idling between shots): Even just the jamming animations were great (and sometimes humorous): It's a slow slide away from an immersive experience to a more sterile disconnected one. Many people HATED the jamming mechanics, but I never understood why. You want to avoid jamming? Buy the new version of the damn gun and go equip it before a mission. Don't wade through water and reload it after every shot. Take care of your weapon and it takes care of you. The "casualization" (is that a word?) of the game really also has had the side effect of disconnecting the user from the world. I like Far Cry 4. It's pretty and fun, but it's a COMPLETELY silly Michael Bay explosion fest and a very, very different experience From Far Cry 2. Of course that's where the modding comes in. Modders are always trying to tweak the system and shift the experience in a different direction. Ah well. We do what we can

Exactly regarding weapons in FC2 - buy them. Buy the upgrades for those used most often, and swap them out for new models on a regular basis.
So enjoy FC2 (and continue to do so) as it came out of the box.

New video for Homefront. Even the "multiplayer" seems cool too me (hint - it's actually 4 person coop).
More and more this is the closest I think we are likely to get to another Far Cry this year (i.e. an actual modern FPS / RPG hybrid. Sorry Primal and Division you just ain't zactlly what I'm looking for as a follow up to FC4 - no offense)

Boy, is the HUD ever-so cluttered however. Will be looking to see how the SP aspect of the game is arranged.
