I watched a National Geographic special on NatGeo Wild today; on building the perfect predator cat. The presenters went over a large number of categories of what features from a specific cat species would contribute to building the perfect predator. They selected the fangs/canines from the Clouded Leopard we've all come to know and love from innumerable spontaneous encounters if FC 4. According to the experts; the CL's fangs are as long as a Bengal Tigers; even though the tiger is on average 10 times the weight of a CL; making the CL's fangs the ideal compromise between length and strength.
Also.............on a different program (same channel) they showed a clip of civvies fleeing an enraged Yak; in a mini van! Guess they didn't have any MGs or an M79! n00bs!!
Third different program..........dangerous encounters between humans and animals as each encroaches into the other's territory. Someplace in Alaska; they have a significant fishing and cannery industry at dock side leading to a massive increase in the local population of AAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH EAGLES!!!!!!!! Fish and fish guts all over the place........which the eagles like a lot. Much more than they like humans wandering around in their nesting areas, or just getting to close to them in general. The film crew was strongly cautioned by their local guide to keep their heads on a swivel, and caught several eagle on human strafing runs (fortunately with no contact/injuries) during the course of filming the segment; the guide mentioned there had been a number of serious to severe head injuries to people in recent months! Honest to the Gaming Gods.............it was worse than FC 4...............there were so many danged eagles!! If I lived there...............I'd wear a football (American) helmet whenever I was out!
At least no one got pulled down by a pack of carnivorous beagles!
