I find it strange that for a beta test, Bethesda didn't allow for a save feature that would allow for re-starting in order to test something different on Survival at that specific point in the game. I've decided to wait for patch 1.5 to be released in final form, with the hope they'll tweak a few features from what's there in beta.

The good news is, that the game has become much more stable with the patch 1.5. It still crashes, but not as often as before. Still, with saving only by sleeping and the added benefit of adrenaline damage (that you loose when sleeping) it is a vabanque game I have lost once too often.
With this mod you will have the standard savegame options in the menu (grayed out in the beta) so you can save anytime.

The mod well might be worth using to simply do my own type of testing of how the bets Survivor mode "plays out" without the other mods.
Is it known exactly what's the new damage settings? It went from .5 x 2 to ? x ? If it's upped to at least 2 x 2 - then I'm already comfortable.
One aspect I've got to react to is no console in beta (for timescale/FOV tweaking). And if isn't restored in final release, hope a mod will be created that gives the player control, as apparently tweaking the .ini file(s) doesn't work (as least that's what I reading on Nexus.)

I really love that mod, because many things you never used suddenly become important. E.g. you can fill empty bottles with purified water at wells, or with dirty water from rivers. Damage is a bit complicated. The variables in the .esm are unchanged, but some people say there is a x2 multiplier somewhere, but i have not found it yet. Right now I am working on a mod that will take the ridicoulous HP progression out, e.g. player will have 250 HP max, Monsters will be tough but they will not become bullet sponges. community.bethesda.net/thread/5955?start=0&tstart=0

I'll go thru that thread, thanks.
I do notice it can get a bit nasty, from reading other threads on the subject of the beta Survival mode.
