Mark - did you "Extracted gibbed_fc4project.zip to E:\D\bin\projects (overwriting the current.txt so it points to Far Cry 4) or did you - per 50. of the earlier post) "place the zipfile in the projects folder" - and then extract it? Hi pj . To avoid any confusion these are the "exact" steps I took with dunia tools. 1.) I created a folder on my E: drive called D2.) I downloaded dunia2-r179_b116.zip and placed it in my newly created D folder. 3.) Right click on dunia2-r179_b116.zip and select " Extract Here" (I use winrar which handles zip files as well) 4.) I downloaded the gibbed_fc4project.zip and placed it " inside" the projects folder of dunia tools. 5.) Right clicked on gibbed_fc4project.zip and selected " Extract Here" which gives me the prompt to overwrite the current.txt. (See screenshot of the projects directory attached) Also verified that current.txt says Far Cry 4. 6.) Returned to the bin folder and clicked on RebuildFileLists.exeThat is all I have done with the tools besides using them. I have been successful with some items while others have been blank or black which makes me think that something is wrong with the tools on my end. As I type this I am unpacking all of the game files again (fcc_main.dat, multicommon.dat, etc. from a fresh install) and repeated the steps I posted above for the Dunia tools install but this time I installed them in C:\D (not E:)...C: is my main drive and is a SSD. I am also copying each file to unpack to the bin folder individually to unpack them to see if that makes any difference for me.

Well fingers crossed this unpacking go around works. I've already ended up with some folders in some of the unpacks I did not have previously.

It's possible (probable) that the file in the library is pre-patch and that a newer version with that line corrected appears in the official patch.dat file from Ubi. They tended to fix small bits like this as development went on (in fact the BULK of patches were very minor fixes that almost nobody but developers would likely pick up on :/ ) Thank you for that info! I will keep that in mind. I wonder if Steve64b took the fcb from the library or from the game files when he showed me his worked.

I took it from the game files. I unpacked both fcb's you attached, they differ on some spots: line 186 mine: <field hash="B554C78E" type="BinHex">0000803F000000000000000000000000000000000000803F000000000000000000000000000000000000803F00000000000080C400008044000000000000803F</field> yours: <field hash="B554C78E" type="BinHex">00</field> line 329 mine: <field hash="FF846468" type="BinHex">000012010000110000456469746F7250726F70657274696573000000</field> yours: <field hash="FF846468" type="BinHex">00</field> line 364 mine: <field hash="FF846468" type="BinHex">000012010000110000456469746F7250726F70657274696573000000</field> yours: <field hash="FF846468" type="BinHex">00</field> So, I'm thinking there's an issue with a Dunia binaryobjectdefinition of hashes FF846468 and B554C78E. Kinda technical.

Gotcha. So basically the moral of the story is "don't always trust what is in the ark xml library as it could be pre-patch". It looks like "lucky for me I decided to start modding fc4 and the very first object I want to include caused all kinds of confusion lol." Well at least I am learning!
