Can't recall if offline saves are locked to the Ubi account or not... If not attached to this post is a fresh start save file using the latest 1.10 Ubi update. I stealthed my way up to the bell tower and then hid like a little b*tch in the corner during the attack (What? I'm not involved in whatever "this is". I'm just looking for Lankshmana) Subsequently this means the save file starts you in Banapaur with nothing earned yet - no XP (well actually 100 xp because apaprently the game awards you 100 xp just for making it past the intro mission), no karma points, no skins, no weapons, etc. Just Ajay, his moms letter and ashes, a machete and 100 xp. Welcome to Kyrat! To use just backup your saves and replace with the contents of the zip file. Let me know if it's locked to my account (hopefully not ) Attachments:1.10 Start.zip (15.28 KB)

Most likely the 100 XP is due to "discovering" Banapaur.

Since this is posted under "other ...", I assume this isn't a modified v0.18.1, but a clean no-intro/tutorial start for an otherwise vanilla run, correct? Yep this is vanilla 1.10 (I finally managed to get it verified and working) Since it's a clean file without really interacting with anything (karma, shops, skins, etc) it should be very compatible with various mods (mine and others) ...well presuming it's not locked to just my account of course.

I asked prior to looking at the zip, so removed the question. I'll give it a quick shot with the v0.18.1 mod and see what happens.
Opens just fine w/ v0.18.1, (and patch 1.8) standing outside Banapur - but facing the wrong way and wondering, "now, just how did I get here again??" ...
Started off just fine with Wolf's Den, so assume all should be okay, especially once you do your own save.
Thanks for creating this. Since I'm completely off-line, it'll be interesting to see what happens to those who might be using cloud sync on Uplay.

Interesting, did not work in FC3. Attached a new game save, right after Ajay awakens in the valley. Basically a new game without the intro movie. If anyone is intersted i have save games after each quest in the game, just tell me what you want. Attachments:New game save.7z (8.15 KB)

These are two really useful files, Bo; they will save a lot of wasted time.
Many Thanks

EDIT - BTW yours worked for me (waking in the valley). Mine were just a little further on - after the bell tower fight with Sabal and meeting Amita at the first village. I was trying to start it where I wish I could start the missions from.

Yes, it did work, I only remember that FC3 savegames were somehow protected so they could not be exchanged.
I once mentioned to Ziggy that he could add a savegame to his mod, so that people could start anywhere and he told me it would not work because savegames were somehow encrypted to the user.

I also recall the conversion involving FC3 save game files. However it was done, they are tied to your ubisoft account.

Thank you guys, you really make it easy to have fun like we want to. I will try both out. I was wondering how to get back to 1.8 and this is the answer, and the icing on the cake is not having to relive all the tedium as it becomes after a coupla run thrus. Exceptional insight and good planning involved.
Well Done, TakeOut1113

I just did JRs 1.10Start and it worked well, replaced what was in it into my deleted save game section 420 (yours may be different number), and then replaced with the 1.8 stuff in Win32 I believe it was, that one of you guys so generously made available to me, and when I restarted, I was just facing backwards going into Bankapra or whatever the name is of the first village. Went into shop, and there were several weapons unlocked for me, about 20, to buy if I wanted. I also had the pistol that fires three 9mm at a time, but that was reward for buying video card thru Nvidia deal I think.
Only thing is, I saw that the opening start menu for FC4 once it loaded, showed version 1.9 down in lower left corner. I have been playing previously without Yeti, under the 1.8 stuff with weapons damage/unlock/attachments mod, so that could be some leftover stuff, since that 1.9 is version that showed earlier before 1.10 also. Thanks much, I yam about as knowledgeable of coding and software as maybe the top 20% of gamers, but that is not much, so if I can do it, almost anyone can, if they have ever right clicked before. I am not worried about the version showing 1.9, just thought I would mention it, since it is only anomaly I can see so far.
will do Bontainers after a while testing this one for awhile to see if I get the registers for progress like with Shangri-La working correctly. I had a prob with them previous to this transistion.

The 1.8.0/1.9.0/1.10.0 version number showing in the bottom-left corner is part of a Flash video installed during the/each update. (I think this is what JR or Bontainer had entioned in one of the earlier posts, TO.)
(If you didn't play the Yeti DLC - you're missing a great download!)

ATB pj At this stage I'll pass on purchasing a DLC that requires patch 1.9, and stay with the known stable 1.8 core game. At least for now.
There's just too many issues IMHO.

Noooo.. 1.10.0 is fine. Mike: the DLC is fine, too - a very, very good and stable DLC. A "must-have" addon for FC4. The Escape from Durgash is not the same, however. It's simply a timed run, walk, fight from one spot in the north to a helicopter pickup point, with a defence of the heli prior to its' liftoff. You have to earn one-minute clock reprieves - which help, but if one dies - back to the start point. After eight or nine restarts - it's gone!.
I had issues with the XP when trying to continuing a game, using different mods, but Bontainer corrected me on that, so I started the current game using the latest Ubi 1.10.0, plus JR's HC v0.18.1-8-0-1 (as it's described on Nexus) plus his New Game - Start in Banapur. This one is clean as a whistle. I added Bontainer's Shop System, and have no issues whatsoever.
You seem a pretty smart guy, and you should find no problems swapping the two systems in and out if you do want to get the Yeti campaign. It's well worth the (cheap) money.

Thanks PJ, I well might upgrade later.
Right now I'm in my first pass thru with Jeff's 0.18.1 mod as coded, so want to get to at least get to the North to see how it shakes out.
I really enjoy the first part of the game as you go about building up expanded XP and crafting. So it's neat to spend much more time "grinding it" then one needed to do in vanilla.
