I agree. Mike. I've done the grinding a number of times now, and forget the fun I had doing it. The HC - particularly with Bo's latest mod added, makes the game that much harder - one REALLY has plan the crafting process, even to including looking for leaves - before taking on any new mission or activity. I found the very hardest part was the Arena - and then getting the level up. Talk about "grinding"! Have you run this gauntlet yet?

pj, thanks, I DID play the Yeti campaign, and agree it is the one to get, tho I did not play the others. I was very pleased with the gameplay, it was like a new 1/4 sized Kyrat country with Yetis all over and different gameplay somewhat. I was very happy with it.
Recommend it to all that want a little add on. I just meant I took it off, and went offline so as not to have to run the update to 1.9 so I could use the mods from our friends.
Having no issues yet, waiting for Shangri-La mission completion to see if it registers on Progress chart.

I assume pj you mean, by gauntlet, the leveling up of Arena Status by returning to the Arena following the required "Mouth of Madness" mission. If so, no.
I simply do not enjoy that style/type of gameplay whatsoever. In vanilla did just enough to get to level 2 to unlock the skill point, when I was using special syringes in my first pass thru of the game.
I found/find the required arena mission challenging enough, thank you very much ... :
So glad the mod makes all the skills dependent on XP, thus I can control how I go about allocating them.

If you like you can modifiy the amount of XP you get by skinning animals
<Generic disLibItemId="7680553335881" Name="Animal parts/Bengal tiger skin" hidGUID_Legacy="{404DFA55-7C81-4675-92A9-A9A87C4A026B}" hidSingleObject="0" bCanBeShared="1" hidName="Animal parts/Bengal tiger skin" disId="2254" locidItemNameId="83550" shpcatCategory="12" shpscataSubCategory1="183" shpscatbSubCategory2="255" shpitpeItemType="76" shpisubtpeItemSubType="0" locidDescriptionId="185671" locidBuyConditionId="1256949776" locidRecommendedUse="155706" locidLockText="484781152" bIsSingleHanded="0" locidWeaponTypeText="372748064" selAttachmentType="0" ammoAmmoType="none" iAmmoAmount="0" selGadgetType="0" arkArchetype="0" fRotationSpeed="0.2" fRotationAmplitude="0.05" sName="" fRefillAllAmmoCostMultiplier="1" iXPOnLoot="75" iKarmaOnLoot="0" iSortId="0" UnlockOnMissionComplete="" UnlockFromScript="" ecoUnlockFromShopItem="0" sUnlocksAbility="" bVisibleWhenLocked="0" bVisibleInInventory="0" bShowCurrentCount="0" sShopIconName="TX_AnimalLootTiger" sHudIconName="AnimalLootTiger" bIsLootItem="1" bIsTreasureMap="0" bIsRareItem="0" selCollectibleType="2" bIsWeaponStatistics="0" sULC_Name="" wikiItemId="4294967295" sStatStringToUpdate="">

Don't forget .rml at the end of that file after you convert it (CDCB723F8C565609.maybe.rml) Also you can change the XP in that file for things like Yalung demon masks and prayer wheels, etc. if you want to try and even out the XP curve more to your liking. I think the XP we settled on falls between 2.5x to 3x the current values (but of course it gets further and further between each level as you progress so the first 10-12 are easy, but the last 20 are grueling). I was hoping this would make players more conscience of their skill point decisions and if you "want everything" (you 100% completionist you!) then you would have to invest a lot of time at the very end.

i like the present 2.5x to 3x, you are right it does make you chose your skill set very carefully, though i never understood why after you filled out the skill tree the Karma icon still showed up for karma events even though you can't earn any more points, if i remember right i had 212 points left over and they never increased after taking care of bussiness

I got lucky in one run in that I reached level 8 right on the nose, and thus showed 0, instead on the remaining left over amount from whatever was my last level 7 event.
And I also bet they simply didn't code a dis-continuation of Karma event icons once level 8 is reached. Just lazy, or like apparently so much of the game, ran out of time ...
To make it a bit harder, I've turned off the world icons, so I actually don't see on the map a karma event, around the bend in the road for example - I have to come across them, then decide on a course of action.

Yeah unfortunately karma events are actually just part of the spawn system and they spawn like everything else (randomly and not actually tied to your karma)
