If you do not need to play Yeti, it is the easiest to just restore the previous version of FC4. Download the following file: files.farcrymod.me/~jravens/farcrymods.com/1.8.zipwww.dropbox.com/s/ladbq1a6n7wr7yb/1.8.zip (new file link since old one appears to have died - admin) If you do not use Steam BACKUP THE FILES in the data_win32 directory, to be able to reinstate the version 1.9.0 or 1.10.0 later. Unpack the 1.8.zip and copy the content into the data_win32 directory of Far Cry 4. Now you have the unpatched version 1.8. Yeti will not show in the game menu anymore. You can use any patch but the 1.9 version. Just insert any mod you want to use and repack patch_hd. If you want to play Yeti again, you have to copy the original files back. if you use Steam you can VERIFY THE INTEGRITY OF GAME CACHE in Far Cry 4 Properties/Local files. This will restore 1.10.0

Hi, I've tried this several times in hopes of being able to use the FC4E Hardcore mod. I've tried both simply moving the 1.8 files into the data_win32 directory, as well as unpacking the patch_hd file, inserting the 1.8 file, repacking, and adding the other files into the data directory. Both methods seem equally ineffective, as when I open the game it still says 1.10 at the bottom of the main menu. Does backdating to 1.8 simply not change this value, or is the backdate not working? I just bought the steam version a couple of days ago, if that makes any difference .-. Thanks in advance for any help you can render

The value (in this case 1.10.0) is not changed, its just a graphic content on the homescreen. If you do revert as in the post above, all the older mods will work flawlessly.

Great, thanks so much! I just wanted to make sure I had the right version before adding the mod so I didn't mess anything up

Far Cry (4) keeps its game save here Nopsem, in the "420" folder:- C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher\savegames\3281115e-91f5-4ecd-beb4-77f45ca9562e\420\ All you need to do is make another folder (anywhere on your PC, or in the same spot under the long-numbered folder) just as I've done in the pic below - and then copy the two (or four) files from "420" into that new folder. Done!

Search for patch.dat
Wherever that is found is where the mod .dat and .fat files go.

Hello. First, thank you for the fast answer. Im afraid that there is no other folder inclunding the .dat & .fat. I mean that either i already replaced them with the mod's ones, or they werent in the folder anyway. Im pretty sure the mod doesnt function since i checked the weapons' price, and its still the same. Anything i missed? I got to say that the version of FC4 im using is 1.10. Thanks in advance

You need to figure out where your game is installed (sounds like you are looking in your my documents - this is NOT the correct place = \My Games\Far Cry 4\). It will be on your C drive or wherever you have have the Ubisoft Uplay client installed. There will be a data_win32 subfolder.
Example - CORRECT place: C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher\games\Far Cry 4\data_win32\
Unless you haven't bought the game. Which I can't help you with that.

To find your game directory, try this: Uplay - Tap into your Far Cry 4 and go to properties tab, under Local files where you can open the folder of game install location. Steam - Right click on Far Cry 4 and enter Properties, under Local Files where you will find an option "Browse Local Files"
