If you want to adjust Ajays movement speed you will find the file in patch_hd/entityarchetypeslibrary The filename is 153129968707904202.ark.fcb The lines to be modified are 1906 to 1912 <field name="fWalkingMaxSpeed" type="Float32">5</field> // standard = 4 <field name="fWalkingMaxSpeedCrouch" type="Float32">2.25</field> // standard 0 1.75 <field hash="0E00FD3E" type="BinHex">0000E03F</field> <field name="fWalkingAcceleration" type="Float32">25</field> <field name="fWalkingDeceleration" type="Float32">30</field> <field name="fForwardWalkMultiplier" type="Float32">1</field> <field name="fSprintMultiplier" type="Float32">1.5</field> // standard = 1 After modifying it to your liking you have to reconvert the file with ConvertBinaryObject The only difference to modding other files is, that you cannot convert the fcb file into XML. You have to search the XML file in the entityarchetypeslibrary of the FCC_Main_Archetypes in the Dunia2 directory, modifiy it with an editor and the convert it. For ease of modifiying it I attached my file.

Hey Bontainer:
Sorry to bug you - but Damn! - I've been working at slowing down Ajay's Crouch speed for about three hours this morning, with no success at all.
I've just found your post here, (coincidence or what!) so tried using the "1531"..etc. file from the ark download instead - copying it off first, then editing the needed lines, compiling and renaming the file, then copying it down to the Nightmare folder, re-packing that, and plonking the new hd dat/fat into the game, but no go. He crouch-walks almost as fast as he normal-walks. I've taken line 1907 down to 0000003C (0.0078125) from the default 0000E03F (1.75), but Ajay keeps on truckin'.
Your figures speed him up a bit, (which I didn't try) but can you slow him down? (I'm Using Dunia2 179 b115).
Ideas?
Tx.

Thats peculiar. Speeding up works like a charm, have to try the opposite.

Well it works for me, slowed to 2 and 1, and subjectively it works out.
If you have the specific skill (Tiger, lowest row, last skill) your crouched movement will be as fast as your walking movement.

OK.. How on earth did you slow him down? It looks like the only line needed here is the 1907 line, and that's what I changed. This is the file from the ark download, G:\D_FCC_Main_Archetypes\entityarchetypeslibrary\153129968707904202.ark.xml 5/17/2015 12:51 pm just before fcb convert:
1906 <field name="fWalkingMaxSpeed" type="Float32">4</field>--> default
1907 <field name="fWalkingMaxSpeedCrouch" type="Float32">0.01</field>-->was 1.75 Tried other (larger) numbers, too.
1908 <field hash="0E00FD3E" type="BinHex">0000E03F</field>--> default 1909 <field name="fWalkingAcceleration" type="Float32">25</field>--> default 1910 <field name="fWalkingDeceleration" type="Float32">30</field>--> default 1911 <field name="fForwardWalkMultiplier" type="Float32">1</field>--> default 1912 <field name="fSprintMultiplier" type="Float32">1</field>--> default
Here's the copy of the original in the same folder:- 153129968707904202.ark-Copy.xml 12/9/2014/8:31 pm
1906 <field name="fWalkingMaxSpeed" type="Float32">4</field> 1907 <field name="fWalkingMaxSpeedCrouch" type="Float32">1.75</field> 1908 <field hash="0E00FD3E" type="BinHex">0000E03F</field> 1909 <field name="fWalkingAcceleration" type="Float32">25</field> 1910 <field name="fWalkingDeceleration" type="Float32">30</field> 1911 <field name="fForwardWalkMultiplier" type="Float32">1</field> 1912 <field name="fSprintMultiplier" type="Float32">1</field>
Here's the resulting fcb file, after conversion and re-inserted into the patch_hd_unpack folder: I used the tools to open it to check if the numbers had changed, but no:
G:\Far Cry 4 Mods\Hardcore\Bontainer NightMare mod\patch_hd_unpack\entityarchetypeslibrary\153129968707904202.ark_converted.xml 5/17/2015 12:52 pm
1906 <field hash="E3F0C8DF" type="BinHex">00008040</field> Razor conversion --> 4 1907 <field hash="90158390" type="BinHex">0AD7233C</field> Razor conversion --> 0.01 1908 <field hash="0E00FD3E" type="BinHex">0000E03F</field> Razor conversion --> 1.75 <-- Coincidence? 1909 <field hash="2460B137" type="BinHex">0000C841</field> Razor conversion --> 25 1910 <field hash="54760C64" type="BinHex">0000F041</field> Razor conversion --> 30 1911 <field hash="4EF611BD" type="BinHex">0000803F</field> Razor conversion --> 1 1912 <field hash="FF414C45" type="BinHex">0000803F</field> Razor conversion --> 1
The upper file is the one saved and converted, (with the usual pack/copy/paste stuff following), but still no slow down. I used Razor's BinHex Converter to verify the numbers in the new fcb, as per the bottom file. Is there another line I should change too? Did I mis-interpret a line? Do you see anything I've missed?
Tx. Appreciate any help! I just looked at the resulting formatting on this post. Cheesh! Sorry.

Aaaaargggg!!.... I'm using your Nightmare mod, with all skills used!!!!!!!!!!!! OK... Without me doing a search - (off the top of your head) - how do I turn that one off?

Sorry, haven`t reached that part of the modding yet (if we will ever be able to mod the skills)... but I am glad we found the problem. I am right now establishing a modding base for the weapons, e.g. creating a directory for each weapon file in preparation. So you can work on each weapon and create subdirectories for the variants. The files in the directories right now are from the dunia files. Attachments:Weapons.zip (833.17 KB)

Am I supposed to find that file in the patch_unpack folder of the patch_hd.dat?

Yes!
You will find the file in
patch_hd/entityarchetypeslibrary
The filename is 153129968707904202.ark.fcb

Maybe I'm using old Dunia tools or something, but all I'm getting when I extract the patch_hd.dat/fat files are "/UNKNOWN", "graphics", "languages", and "ui". Maybe I'm unpacking the wrong file?

Not likely the fault of your DuniaTools version, Acon, (but it should be Release 179, Build 115) You can download the entitityarchetypeslibrary from Janne252's site here. The file you're looking for is in that, opened and ready to be modified, (as *.ark.xml files). There's some 9000 of them so use the search function (of the included browser) on just that number to find it. Once that's done - make an "entityarchetypeslibrary" folder in your patch_hd_unpack folder, repack the newly-modified file using Dunia2.ConvertXml.exe, and then place it in that folder. Then repack the patch_hd_unpack. Bontainer's first post includes this file, ready made, so you only have to play with that (if you want to change Bontainer's settings, as I did) and convert the ark.xml back to an ark.fcb. You still have to make the folder, and repack the patch_hd_unpack. Clear as mud? Just a note - Bontainer is in Germany, so he likely won't reply 'till tomorrow, but the above will get you going. pj

Acon: I uploaded a new version with standard movement speeds to the Nexus.
It seems you unpacked the Ubisoft version, you have to unpack the mod itsself. If that not the case take a look at you dunia tools, there is a file in "projects" named current, its content should read "Far Cry 4".

Thank you for that upload and for the quick responses here, guy!

Looking at my Dunia tools, it seems like that could be the problem: all the files in the "project" folder refer to Far Cry 4. I need to change that, right?

Yes, it is a bit bugged. The content of current should read "Far Cry 4"
If it still does not work try "Far Cry 3" as content.
