Will do. I'd love to actually contribute Right now, I've hit a different snag. Bot's Oasis file is missing multiple fields completely. This causes blank spaces in the options menu that looks really funky. The "fresh" patch_hd from UBI doesn't seem to contain this file.
Do you know how I could get an untouched english oasis.bin, so that I can recreate these missing fields?
In case anyone doesn't know, untouched files are in patch, not patch_hd. I was able to recreate the missing fields!

JR, talking about holstering, have you seen these fields? Think it's just unused code left over from FC2 like the jam function?

Sorry no that actually WILL work. I do know of these and have used them. You can also set them individually within each weapon. Here is what it does - whenever you fall, enter water, enter a vehicle or otherwise ANY animation (including healing) which interrupts your weapon then the weapon is not brought back up on the screen (drawn) when the animation ends. This *kind* of works, but it doesn't let you holster the weapon when you want to and to be honest it can be extremely frustrating to always have to redraw your weapon. It sounds good in principle (i.e. it's "realistic"), but in play I found it to be a hindrance so I removed it from my mods. You can try it yourself and see what you think. Initially I thought it was a great feature, but several hours in and it just became a nuisance to me. If drawing the weapon was something that could be controlled per event type or better yet if it could be manually controlled (there were keys to do that but they no longer work) then it would be perfect in my eyes. RE: the patch file - ALWAYS check the patch.dat for the most current version of files. This is especially true of the entity ark files and the \generated\ database files. For example the shop file will be missing important DLC90 (Yeti) entries if you do not use the one from patch.dat and will cause the game to crash when playing Valley of the Yetis and interacting with a gun cabinet or sherpa, etc. Most mods made for 1.10 already have these, but if doing your own modifications be sure to check patch.dat first. * EDIT - in hindsight you might be able to control holstering the weapon by bringing up the camera with auto-draw off. This would "technically" allow you to control putting the gun away without having to jump off a rock, enter a vehicle or some other thing to put the weapon away. I personally would still find it to annoying to constantly redraw every time the healing interrupted as well as some of the others (like skinning animals, picking plants, etc).

From the PawnPlayer .ark (153129968707904202.ark.fcb) <object name="Inventory"> <field name="text_packInventoryPack" type="String">player</field> <field name="packInventoryPack" type="Hash32">98197A65</field> <field name="bUnlimitedAmmo" type="Boolean">False</field> <field name="bAutoReload" type="Boolean">True</field> -------> <field name="bAutoDraw" type="Boolean">True</field> <field name="text_sInitialWeaponCategory" type="String">primary</field> <field name="sInitialWeaponCategory" type="Hash32">1745EA86</field> <field name="WeaponLocked" type="BinHex">00</field> <field name="NumSlotsUnlocked" type="Int32">1</field> <field name="MaxLoot" type="Int32">30</field> <field name="MaxMoney" type="Int32">250000</field> As you can see you can shut off automatic reload there too if that's your thing Starting amount of weapon slots, base inventory bag size (MaxLoot) and wallet size (MaxMoney) are set here as well. Your crafted items add onto those values. EDIT - I can't find the draw line(s) in weapons so maybe I am mistaken about that. Might be you can only control auto reload within the individual weapon arks. Been a while since I looked at all of this LOL. You are bringing back a lot of memories UPDATE - Ok so I tested this again and oddly enough the camera is one of the few things that the weapons automatically draw after even with autodraw set to false so that idea is out the window. However swiping with the machete will put the gun (and machete) away and leave you with just your hands so in essence with autodraw set to False you can "holster" your gun just by swiping with the machete. Sadly I still find it annoying how often I have to manually redraw the gun (after every swipe, stealth kill, item collection, healing, etc etc) Guess I've grown spoiled to having it draw automatically for me. Even got me killed during testing because of the damn delay in redrawing the weapon Stupid Royal Army.

Yes, I did go through and disable auto reload for all of the weapons! It's not exactly as smooth as the "Red Orchestra" gunplay I'm looking for, but it's definitely better. I will continue to experiment with holster ideas. It sounds like it's just not meant to be, though.
In the meantime, I'm still trying to figure out how to hide/disable karma notifications without locking up the game. Do you recall replacing any of the karma.PNGs with blank files?

If you set AutoReload in that file above it should apply for all weapons (in theory), but if you've already adjusted them individually...
Not sure about karma... I don't THINK I did... though I suppose it's possible. That probably would have been handled by a large masterfile... let's see either:
\common_unpack\common_unpack\ui\supertextures\mapicon.xbt (least likely) \common_unpack\common_unpack\ui\supertextures\othertextures.xbt \common_unpack\common_unpack\ui\supertextures\successicons.xbt (most likely)
Don't think that would prevent the numeric text though so I'm dubious this had anything to do with it. I forgot to check on it earlier so next test I'll poke around. They can't be turned off in v1.10 from the menu? Odd

Doh! That would have saved some time. I thought it had to be done per weapon. Oh well, I'm tweaking most of the viewmodel FOVs as well...
Even in 1.10, if you disable karma notifications from the options menu and kill a golden path member the game hard locks. It's such a lazy bug on Ubi's part.
