Tried it, spawned in a void, crashed to menu screen. Clearly I'm doing something wrong. And now the fcb file refuses to convert to an XML no matter what, so I can't try again. I was suggesting you to replace these models with rak's xbgs. The crash on menu suggests that you made a mistake editing that fcb, revert back to original file now.

I'm converting the .ark.fcb file to a .xml and editing those lines in Notepad. I assume that's what you're supposed to do, right? Something could be wrong with the fcb I'm using. Do you have a clean one?

Sorry you are still having issues with this. You did pick a kind of more difficult thing to mess with as an experiment (changing the SP model to a MP one) . I'll try and look at it soon-ish if I can. I don't currently have FC4 installed and I've been a bit distracted lately...

So I noticed that when using a reskin mod and playing multiplayer, the Rakshasa's pants were also reskinned.

Just bumping this in case anyone takes notice.

Is multiplayer still a thing with FC4??
Even if you have visual changes in MP I doubt anyone else sees the changes.
I guess I don't understand... I thought you were changing the single player model to look like a multiplayer one?

1. Yes, it is still a thing. 2. I am changing the single player one to look like a MP one. When I pointed out that the texture of the Rakshasa Hunter's pants changed when I used someone else's reskin mod, it means that they must've figured out how to modify such things already, which means they're onto something. I just have to figure out what.

Did you try to replace the physical files of Ajay's models (Extracted from fcc_main.dat) with Rakshasa's models (Extracted from multicommon.dat) via patch_hd yet?

Not yet. I'll try that ASAP.

I tried that method, but because multicommon is distinct from fccmain you end up with invisible arms and legs. I added a load of materials and textures from multicommon, but he's still missing textures (but at least now you can see the skin of his hands and feet so that's... something) I can't sort out specifically what's missing. I think it may be easier to try and swap Ajay for a Hunter from SP instead. Multiplayer models seem a bit frustrating. I'm sure it CAN be done (hell I somehow added the Raks and GP from MP as NPC skins before) just not 100% sure how in regards to the player... PS - Hurk, Naked Ajay, Kalinag, etc are all easy. Just find the relevant pawn player ark (apparently it's 153129968707904202.ark.fcb) and rename it to the main one. Lazy method of course... the proper method would be to grab all of the appropriate graphic lines out of the ark and replace them inside the pawn player ark, but I can't be sussed to mess with all that these days Simple lazy way is: Hurk = \fcc_main_unpack\entityarchetypeslibrary\7849280438030.ark.fcb <--- rename to 153129968707904202.ark.fcb Naked Ajay = \fcc_main_unpack\entityarchetypeslibrary\7805519537092.ark.fcb <--- rename to 153129968707904202.ark.fcb Kalinag = \fcc_main_unpack\entityarchetypeslibrary\7848730349028.ark.fcb <--- rename to 153129968707904202.ark.fcb

You managed to give the Golden Path their uniforms from MP? Do you happen to have that mod on hand?

Yeah I did, but no unfortunately I can't find that mod (which is what I was looking for the other day to try and copy the method). Pretty sure I gave the machete guys (beheaders) the MP Rak skins as well. I distinctly remember the blue skins... of course that's not *exactly* the same as the player model, but if I could make it work for the NPCs surely I could copy the graphics over into the PC .ark I did something similar in Far Cry 3 with the Welcome to Wonderland mod. Was trying to make the player use Vaas, but he had too many clipping issues so I made them a generic pirate. Anyway frustratingly I can't find the mod... still hoping to uncover it and that it didn't get deleted
