Hi I am using Dunia Tools and i tried to extract patch_hd.fat data. No errors there. However, i want to mod mod amount of capacity i get from upgrades(a bit of pack rat) for everything possible(i remember few years back i was able to mod inventory capacity, but not ammo because those values were not decoded or something), but i seem to lack required files for it. __UNKNOWN dir only has gfx and unknown folders in it. I distinctly remember there is supposed to be misc folder or something, where all files i need ought to be stored. patch_hd.dat size is 65.6mb and patch_hd.fat size is 3.27kb. Extracted folder size is 99.2mb and it has 166 files and 82 folders in it. Maybe those got boinked ? But then again, game itself works just fine. Game version 1.10 with all DLCs. Where did i go wrong ?!?! I like this Mod and id like "extended" capacity, but i seem to fail somewhere even before i can start. thx

Try using Fino's Dunia Toolkit to unpack. Its filelist should have better coverage.

But then again, game itself works just fine. I think you are referring to the "patch_hd.dat" and "patch_hd.fat" files that come with the vanilla game. Those files do not have any modding content in them as they are used for graphics replacement and textures. Adding your custom content to the unpacked files and then repacking and substituting them in the game should implement changes in the game.
If you want to make your own compilation mod, then it is advisable to download all the components (or mods which contain the required components) and keep them in a separate directory. Then it is simply a matter of taking whatyou need and putting in the "patch_hd_unpack" folder.

Ahh, thank you. Mind pointing me to tread that deals with skills ? Id like to have more levels(from 10 to like 99) to those skills that increase syringe duration by 5 seconds.

Unfortunately I never detailed skills. I was still working out what all the fields were for. They are in a large block inside the CEF file. I'll try to see if I can find any notes on them, but tbh that is old, old stuff (before multiple computer hard drive crashes) that I never properly notated so chances are slim I still have the particulars...

Ohh well, cant have everything. farcrymods.freeforums.net/thread/3/increase-size-crafted-wallets-lootSee generated\nomadobjecttemplates.fcb to find the hashes for other crafted items.Where can i find this file now ? 001B374A = 0x4A371B00 = 3000000.0
How does that translate, what is to what is to what ? thx

They are binhash numbers (raw code). You need a converter tool. I used to have one by RaZoR-FINN that I would try various types to figure out what the hell was what. Dunno where that went... most hex editors usually have search functions or conversion tools you can try. Basically any number you find that is listed as "binhash" code could be Float, Integer, Byte, Binary, Vector, etc. etc. Hell sometimes they are even HEX that can be converted to ASCII.
Anyway ignore all that and see the third post on that thread explains how to manually switch it to Float32 and input the numbers as you want them to be.

Well like I say there is no specific formula to apply. You'll need a tool or method to copy & paste binhash numbers in and try to convert to various types until you find the correct type for each one. I don't have a specific tool that I can recommend or share atm (mostly because I have no idea where any of my tools are... and haven't used them in forever. You can try Fino's tools - I think there might be a conversion tool in those or try a free hex editor... NotePad++ will do HEX to ASCII conversion built right in it). You can try googling to see if you can find Razor-Finns converter though I don't think it's still up anywhere...
Typically for those crafting items the quantity amounts will be of the type Int32 and Float32 (I think just the wallet and maybe the backpack are float32 though I confess it's been a long time since I looked at them)
>I guess il go with shooting in the dark.
Well there's no need to "shoot in the dark". If you can't work out converting them you at least already know what the default values of the crafting tiers are (or if you don't you can consult a wiki or guide) -or- even if you don't have any idea you will know what you *want* them to be so simply make them according to how you feel they should stack. *Note in most cases each number stacks on top of the last so if you want grenades to be 2/3/4/5 then you can use 2/1/1/1 or if you want them to be 2/4/6/8 then use 2/2/2/2 (i.e. 2 / 2+2 = 4 / 4+2 = 6 / 6+2 = 8 etc). Sadly modding is a lot of trial and error to get what you want... and even then it doesn't always work as desired...
Also doing some searching and reading here will help. That thread alone is a wealth of information for editing the crafting file. You may need to read it several times and even reference it while working the file. It seems confusing because you've never done it. Once you successfully change something and see the result in game it will click. My advice is just roll your sleeves up and try. If I worked it out anyone can because I'm as dumb as a box of rocks.

Most of them were easy enough, since they had just 1 value, like Loot Bag, but few categories... Since i dont know exact values i cant compare. Right now stuck at Heavy Pouch part. 4 values. First is 100>100>100>100, so i guess its Fuel(wiki says max ammo for it is 500, so it fits). Second is 1>1>3>3 . Flares ?!?! Maybe. Third is 6>6>12>14, i guess 40mm(they start at 12, and max is 50 according to wiki). And third is 3>3>3>3 - pfff, no idea, maybe this is flares(they start at 3 and wiki says that max ammo for them is 15...for FC3). I cant find anywhere numbers for ammo for any of those upgrades(for either Ammo Pouch or Heavy Pouch), and their description in the game is rather vague. As far as regular ammo goes, i just started game, looked up base values and randomly bumped upgrade values to what i wanted. But with this, considering that there is supposedly also additional separate entry for Rockets(according to your post in that tread), with two values, its a guessing game. I just randomly change values here and there, so far no crashes, but im early in the game, Pagan Min may be laying in waiting. 8) When i did similar things to FC3, game was fine until certain point on second island, half way thru game, crashing at same point in main campaign, with no way around it.

Second is 1>1>3>3 . Flares ?!?! Maybe. This is the chain for rockets. In the vanilla game, the player starts with a max capacity of three, then 4,5,7,10 rockets with each upgrade

I may have been confused thinking rockets was in two places. In fact it might have been 40mm ammo. Sorry I wasn't much help. I can't find any notes As to crashes I never had issues adjusting quantities of items, but I have had a few crashes from other things more recently. Unfortunately I've been unable to pinpoint exactly what since these only occurred much later after my original mods and seemed unconnected to them. I think instability mostly (sic) occurred for me when editing enemies to have different weapon loadouts or appearances. Seems like crashes would happen whenever the game would try to spawn certain enemies... I also mucked something up with machetes as well attempting to give the player the option to pick up dropped machetes from enemies... later on I had issues with lighting which was something else I hadn't previously changed in my mods (though caveat that some others here HAVE changed lighting and environment conditions without seemingly breaking the game). Crashes were very prominent for me in Shangra-La (which makes sense as I was tinkering with the demons, machetes and Shangra-La player character) Anyway none of that has to do with what you are working on so if you stay within the confines of the various elements that have been previously modded over the years - for example weapons, attachments, crafting, loot, etc. then you shouldn't have any issues. Suffice it to say it helps if you have a large amount of save games at various points to try jumping around to check various changes. I think bontainer had some save games from his playthrough that could be downloaded and used. If you can't find them and need them let me know. Fairly certain I have those.

Yeah, figured that one out. Those 4 entries in Heavy Pouch part are in order: Fuel, Rockets, 40mm and Flares. Also Explosives part has only 1 entry, but it applies to both C4 and Mines. What file deals with additional bind entries in options ? I wanted "press" rather than "hold" for interactions ,so i copied 4881E4C778199500.xml from Immersive option of Open World mod. But now i cant use wingsuit, as it is not binded to anything.
