This is something that I have observed during the process of making my own compilation mod.
A few days ago, I had posted a thread on this site regarding not making weapons unlock from radio tower liberation. I was advised to search the forums for a possible answer, and stumbled across the shop file and it's potential ability to remove tower unlocks. So naturally, I went to JRavens' Open World Mod, and downloaded that from Nexus. To my surprise, the shop file wasn't in its location (_UNKNOWN/misc). No problem, I thought. Maybe v1.10 decides tower unlocks differently. So just to be sure, I downloaded all mods which unlock all weapons for purchase at the start. All these mods, I downloaded from Nexus. None of them had the shop file in the unknown/misc location.
I decided to hand-edit a clean copy of the file and add it to the compilation. For science. I did that, made all the attachments available from that file, and put the file in the mod. After putting in some all of the changes that I wanted, I compiled the mod, added it to my FC4 installation, and started playing.
Funnily enough, the first tower did unlock the Skorpion vz61 for free in the shop. So, I thought to myself, "Maybe I misspelled the name of the file, or the ending. (It is supposed to be '.maybe.rml', I could have put it as '.rml' after compilation, purely by mistake). So I opened up my mod to double-check.
Imagine my surprise when my own shop file was missing. Not a trace of it. Now, I have no clue whether I actually did put in the shop file, or not, (I opened the mod file on my work laptop, during a break time. I am working from home.) but I'm pretty sure I did.
So the question is: where did the shop file go? What happened to it?
