This is a trick I picked up on FC3 and made even easier on FC4.
If you want to test that your weapons are doing x damage at a certain range (or determine how many hits to kill etc.)
We all know that the standard enemy has 100 hp, but this can be kind of tricky to get enemies to stay at certain ranges or control what enemies spawn and so forth (although you MIGHT be able to control some of this with a custom map using the map editor)
Almost all vehicles in the game have tires with 1000 health. These tires have a piercing modifier of 4 (meaning almost all gunfire etc is x4 damage to them) so in essence as far as guns are concerned they have 250 hp. So for example I was testing a weapon which I had at 24.5 damage and it took exactly 11 shots to pop one. The first 10 shots totaled 245 damage and the 11th put it over the 250 mark.
...and yes I do think it's quite ridiculous that it takes more than 1 of ANY bullet to pop the tire on a pickup truck. Maybe we should start importing tires from Kyrat!?
BTW - tires have a x12 modifier to bolts/arrows so in general they will almost always be popped by a single arrow (since most of these do 100 damage).
Note also that this is for truck tires. TukTuks, Snowmobiles, quads, etc. may have a slightly different value (I think on some of them it's a x3.5 piercing multiplier)
