Alright...So I've got that file bontainer was nice enough to upload in the "modifying ajay's movement speed" thread. It is an ark.xml, I move it into my bin folder of my Gibbed.Dunia.2 program and open it with notepad++. I modify lines 1906 to 1912 as I see fit (and added a small amount to <field name="fJumpClimbMaxHeight" type="Float32">0.63</field> ...it was originally 0.43, I'm hoping this means I can grab ledges above me that are within what I consider a decent reach). After this, if I drag my 153129968707904202.ark.xml onto the "Gibbed.Dunia2.ConvertBinaryObject.exe" the command prompt window of Dunia crashes, aka "stops working" and no new file is created. Does the fact that he uploaded it as an ark.xml mean I am supposed to use "Gibbed.Dunia2.ConvertXml.exe" to reconvert it? I mean it DOES work if I use the ConvertXml.exe so therefore I assume that must be it. However, that doesn't seem to be what they are saying on the thread. The way I interpret it there is that once I'm finished doing this I have to convert the ark.xml into an ark.fcb, and then place it into entityarchetypeslibrary and I'll be done other than my patch_hd_unpack repacking. But I'm only able to convert the ark.xml into an rml...ugh I am confused!

Hmm, can I just put this 153129968707904202.rml into the _UNKNOWN/misc folder and add the .maybe.rml as the extension?

I'm not sure of the specific reason for the crash. You'll have to look at the long string of complaints by gibbed in the output window to determine the possible cause, but I'm betting it's either:
1) You made a mistake in the text editor somehow (something got added or deleted that wasn't supposed to)
or
2) The file path you are working in is too long. Try making a copy of your gibbed directory right off the root of the C drive like C:\GibbedTools\ or whatever. Same thing with your mod. Keep all your working files in like C:\CraytoseMod\. Gibbed does not like when the filepaths get too long and will crash out.
Unless you can read something specific in the error that tells you what is going on...
RE: renaming files to other file types. Won't work. Never works. Lose that idea completely with Far Cry mods. Filetypes are completely incompatible with one another and just renaming an .rml file to .fcb won't work. Don't use ConvertToXML on xml files you made from fcbs. Even if it works Far Cry will crash when you try to load it with a mod that has a file like that in it.

Ah good to know, very much so. Thank you. We'll see what's going on in the days to come as I'm about ready to actually play for a bit whilst I have nothing gamebreaking going on to my super picky self. I'll have to tinker around a bit as all of my conversions and repacking happens inside a "Dunia for FC4/Dunia/bin/--actual gibbed tools and patch_hd_unpacks" right off of my desktop. Thank you JRavens, I'm not gonna promise to disappear with all of my questions forever, but hopefully for a little while I mean it, I really do appreciate your helpful nature.

So it turns out that even though everything else will work like a charm, the Gibbed.Dunia2.ConvertBinaryObject.exe doesn't play nice if the "projects" folder contains all of the stuff from the Far Cry 3 version...DL'd the projects.zip from a post pj had made, converting .ark.xml into .fcb like a pro! OK after that update, which was for once just good news instead of annoying questions, I'm going to actually play the game...

Hahahah! Yup - that wrong project file will kill you for weeks if you have the wrong one!
Glad you got it fixed.
