In Far Cry 4 SP Single Player Mode, I'm using "FC4 Open World Mod with Easier Crafting v.1.10.1-26-v1-10-1." I love it and think I am getting a great experience.
But now, one of my gaming buddies wants to do a FC4 COOP. My friend does not like installing and using mods. So, if I have the mod installed and in-use on my computer will I be able to COOP with my gaming buddy?
PS. Sorry about posting in an old thread topic, but I just didn't know where else to post my question.

I think so and I think if you host (i.e. he joins your game) then he will experience the same changes. At least based on what other users have reported, but would be interested to see how it works out for you.

Thanks, JR. I'll try it and report back... might be a few months, but I will remember to post back here. * Sorry Double Post*
... I'm using "FC4 Open World Mod with Easier Crafting v.1.10.1-26-v1-10-1." Even though my FC4 COOP partner does not, I am able to join his game fine. While playing in my friend's COOP game, I do not experience any of the mod's features, but when I go back to the single player mode I experience all the features of the mod once again.

I decided to fire up a suspended OW mod game, and discovered that when using the repair tool on a vehicle, the game does not "finish" the repair - the windshield does not get repaired. If it's cracked, it remains cracked. If it's blown out, it remains blown out.
Simply wondering if this is a known condition?

No I've never seen that one.
I've noticed in my testing lately that all sorts of odd things keep cropping up when I reload saves. I have one in the Ghale house where the sound is 100% normal except Ajays grunts and noises. He sounds like he is muffled or underwater and going outside, leaving to the main menu, etc did not fix it... yet another save at the house was fine.
The other night I entered Shangra-La for the first mission and had my knife from the open world and this overlapped the Shangra-La knife I pulled from the tiger.
Other weird stuff like that here and there. I dunno if they are all related or not or the game logic is just misfiring or what.
Out of curiosity did you try fast traveling and / or leaving the game and going back in? I found that sometimes fast travel does in fact force a reload of a lot of game loops (or whatever) and this magically "fixes" a bugged out problem.
For Open World specifically I wonder if the LUA file I used to unlock the open world is causing "side effects". Was this repair on a civilian car that needed help (aka like a side encounter)? I seem to recall trying to change the karma rewards for brokendown vehicles and beggars. Maybe those files made their way into open world and are no longer doing what was intended (don't think they were meant to be in Open World to begin with... they were more meant for the overhaul mods like hardcore)

Nor do I recall seeing this situation previously. These are combat/crash related damages - the roadside repair is simply smoke from under the hood. However I can stop at my next roadside encounter and see what happens. I also will damage an outpost-spawned vehicle, damage it, and see what happens.
I also encountered, for the first time , the dog at Yuma's fortress not going up to the bait; it stops short, and then spots me (ugh!!). The issue is of course that all times previously with the mod, the dog goes for the bait, and I zap it w/ an arrow. This happened a second time, even after a re-start from the last save point. I have a save file that I can reload to see if it continues. This might not be mod related of course, however it's strange, as my outpost liberation done a short time previously, which had dogs, worked as advertised.

Yeah like I say I'm seeing more and more odd bugs. We were able to peak into a save file (because surprise surprise the save files are just .fcbs like many of the other files in Far Cry) and the amount of info saved is staggering. To the point that I feel like some bugs become "trapped" into the save file. Try some tests and see. If it's reproducible then it's clearly something in the mod. The dog AI I don't really think is mod related as I've not had any adjustments to dogs or AI But again this could be one of those "misfiring" things happening with the AI... could be the base game. I guess one way to tell is every load the dog acts the same try backing up the saves, removing the mod and reloading the save to see if he acts differently with just the original patch_hd.dat Again if this is something reproducible maybe I can sort out what it is and fix that problem in the mod (which is woefully outdated I think )

Just finished a run, and the vehicle damage "problem" didn't disappear. The interaction when you have a clearly damaged vehicle is as it should be; you get the repair bar top of screen and if fills, but nothing happens to the windshield. Clearly as far as the game is concerned, the vehicle is repaired. I'd ask someone to load an OW save, and see if they encounter this situation. It's easy to do so at any outpost you happen to have liberated, damage one of the nearby spawned vehicles. The dog situation I can repeat from any number of previous saves, plus try that Outpost Master feature within the current game sequence of events since starting up a continuation in play.
I will re-load a much earlier saved game file, and see if this vehicle repair situation is repeated.
UPDATE: Dog and bait nothing to do with mod. Unknown reason for problem experienced, but another pass at Yuma's fortress using Outpost Master, and dog went for the bait. Who knows why in any event ...
Repair vehicle damage does appear to be a "corrupted" save file. Everything's fine up to a specific saved file, then the next one has the "problem" - the impact is only cosmic, but I don't see how it now can be specific to the mod. Once I opened the North via story mission, I did quite a bit of running around and experienced a game crash (which isn't the first time, so I just picked up from the re-spawning spot), before making another save file. That save file is the starting point of what's been described.
Since I'm simply getting re-adjusted back to FC4 prior to 5's release at this point (i.e., 5 is going to be more like 4, then 3), I'll most likely continue on from the most recent activity. Driving w/o a windshield in Kyrat is normal in any event ...

Decided after all to do another test run; from the "good" save file. Took King's Bridge, saved the file. Everything fine on a restart from that point. Went to clear the tower on the way to Yuma's. Just after getting the game save after climbing tower, game froze. Got it unfrozen and immediately went to a vehicle - the "windshield repair" issue appeared.
I now believe it's possible the mod could be causing this issue; when the game either crashes (to blank screen) or it freezes (with the game image still on the screen).
Simply reporting what's been experienced.

Thanks! Still not sure where the issue is... I'll have to dig deeper. :S I tried installing the mod but when I change the patch_hd.dat and patch_hd.fat files game never starts "Far Cry 4 has stopped working" and when I restore the original dat and fat files game starts like a normal one. I'm dying to test the open world mod. Help mr JR!!!
