Hey guys, hopefully one of you can help me out on this. I have the .xml for the different hotkeys from the immersive or nightmare in my patch mod. Everything works great, can remap whatever I want, except I have noticed a problem. The game tells me that the same button I use for melee takedowns and knife strikes is the button to use for one of the elephant's attacks, however, when I press it Ajay just hops off of the elephant as if I have pressed the activate key. What is going on and what is the default button for this attack in case for some reason the .xml happens to just have it stuck on that, kind of like how I had to delete a line to stop "E" from making me get out of vehicles. Thanks for any help!

I should have said this in the original post, but it's the "bash and throw" button, or "attract other nearby elephants". The "charge and smash" works fine of course, as it is just sprinting. Also, not sure if this will help, but if I press the activate key, Ajay gets off of the elephant on the elephant's left side, if I press the melee button that is supposed to be "attract" or "bash and throw" Ajay gets off of the right side of the elephant.

I took a look last night, but sorry I didn't see anything in the key binding file that should be causing this...
Can you attach your 4881E4C778199500.xml file and I'll take a look \patch_hd\__UNKNOWN\misc\4881E4C778199500.xml
Or you can check in it file yourself if you want. Look for all instances of kb_f there should also be a section with something about "try_exit_animal" or something of that nature. I'm at work so pulling these from memory... may not have the exact wording correct on that.

There's the culprit!
Take out this line:
<Binding input="KB_F" action="press" signal="try_get_off_animal"/>
Change this line to whatever you like (for example KB_E for the E key):
<Binding input="KB_F" action="press" signal="try_get_off_animal" remapped="REMAPPABLE_CONTROL_KB_F"/>
