I'm just going to post this now and go ahead and sticky it.
Unless someone works a miracle (which is very likely not going to happen) there is zero chance you can move assets from one game to another. Even if you could Primal is surely built without the requisite archetypes, etc. to have guns. Even if you could have guns there would be no support to get them into the game. It's just not feasible.
We couldn't even move assets from Valley of the Yeti DLC into the main FC4 game. And that DLC is built and INCLUDED with that engine.
There's about 10 people... maybe less... on the planet that have even the remotest related skillset to even think about doing this. Unless one of those people feels compelled to try it's not a thing that can happen. I'm happy to lend advice where I can, but I cannot make it work (so please don't ask) - someone else will have to crack it.
Believe me if it could have been done you would already have been playing with Jason and Vaas in FC4, Pagin running the show in FC3, Yeti's terrorizing the people of Kyrat, etc. a year ago.
Petition Ubisoft to support modding. They've locked this stuff up for years making it impossible to do anything with their games.
Best of luck. I hope Primal is fun for you and you enjoy it. I'm sure the engine's are 99.9% the same so I've no doubt there is tons here on the site you can use in trying to figure out how to mod that game as well (provided Gibbed's tools still extract it also)
I'm still waiting for my next guns and gonzo game.
Peace, love and bullets Far Cry fans
And all this science, I don't understand... It's just my job, five days a week
Hey! I've got this great idea for a total conversion mod for FC3!
I want to replace all the Rakyat warriors in 3 with Yetis; using the FC 2 canned S. African Merc ambient audio conversations, armed with bows, arrows, and spears from Primal (I do have the Ubi approved hammer, hacksaw, repair torch, and duct tape creation kit)....................but, could use some coaching...................can you give me a hand with that?
I'm goona call it: XTREME Tropicana Wild! Not bad, huh?
As an optional patch file.................substituting cassowaries as Vass' Pirates would be a cool plot element too!
