Did anyone ever figure out if it was possible to edit the weapon or viewmodel FoV in this game? It was pretty easy to do in 3 but I haven't heard anything about it in 4.

Yes. Essentially the same way as in FC3. You just have to find the weapons archetype file and change the FOV values in it.

Thanks. I'm looking at the entity library file for the AK, but I'm not seeing the field I'm looking for - "NearFoVDegrees". Is it possible it's there but the name is still scrambled or am I missing that something?

In mine they are translated and I find it just by searching for FOV, but in any case the line I think you want on the AK is line 40 for fNearFovDegrees.
There are also some other FOV settings on line 1581 and 1595 (I use Notepad++ so that's where my line numbering is coming from)
It's been too long for me to remember what controls what anymore for the FOV. One is holding at the hip (line 40??), one is ironsighting (line 1595??), etc.
You'll have to experiment to puzzle out which is which and what numbers work best for you.

Yeah I'm pretty positive I'm looking at the wrong file. I think the archetype IDs I have are outdated, do you have a current list? Or is that why I need to use the archetype browser tool for?

Last edit: Alright, I found the files and made the changes. Last question: how do I actually re-pack these? I've got the files ready to go as .xmls in an "entityarchetypeslibrary" folder -- do I just convert the whole folder to an .fcb and just re-pack it into patch_hd?

Still having trouble figuring out exactly how to convert the edited xml files back to fcb and re-pack them, as my Gibbed tools aren't working with FC4 for some reason. Anyone else have any insight? I appreciate all the help, thanks guys!

Hi there everyone,
Could you please explain how to change weapon "damage" in FC4?
because
after patch_hd unpaking there is no file or folder with name "entityarchetypeslibrary".
In generated folder "patch_hd_unpack" there are "_UnKNOWN" and "ui" folders only without "entityarchetypeslibrary" subfolder or file such name:(
So, please where I can find or generate the "entityarchetypeslibrary"?
