It appears the new, revised Survivor difficulty is going to be released shortly. I intend to begin a new character start, and if others are also looking forward to this new structure of the game (i.e., still playing, or coming back to, FO4 ...) I'm wondering what mods that deal with making the game even more challenging/interesting others might be considering.
Off the top, I'm plan on adding the crossbow and Rebel outfit mods. Plus looking at mods which affect weapons damage (more realistic) as well as, perhaps, those impacting leveling.

Here is my private Mod - makes the game a tiny bit more diffcult. - Weapon names are now based on Fallout Canon names - Ammo names are now real world ammo names - Ammo has correct damage values in regard to bullet size and muzzle energy - Ammunition availability halved - All enemies are much higher in Level - Fast Leveling in the beginning but getting more difficult on higher levels - Player hitpoints are based purely on Endurance and do not rise with leveling - Ghouls are FO3, e.g. if you don't hit their head, they will rip yours off... - Deathclaws - RUN! - buying Prices doubled, selling prices halved - Purified water worth 2 caps instead of 20 - No fast travel - Radiation damage is MUCH higher, in addition the Aquaboy/girl perk can be acquired at Lvl 50. - and lots of other tiny modifications... Weapon damage is a bit problematical in FO4, since skills and mods can make a difference of up to 400%. I adjusted damage in so far that you will get the results form my FC4 mods if your weapon is modded to powerful and you have maxed out the damage perks. Place this mod last (at the bottom) of your load order. It should not conflict with any other mod.

I really like some of the features Peter, others I have some questions ....
Ghouls - head shots are the only way to kill them? If you take off a limb, especially a leg, does the mod disable them, or is the damage ignored?
Deathclaw - can't be killed?

Well, like everything it depends on perspective. Since Fallout depends heavily on Level the answers is manifold.
Level < 20
Ghouls are extremely diffcult to kill, headshots are the best choice. Shooting there legs is also a very good idea since this will keep them from rushing you.
If you see a Deathclaw, try to sneak away. If its the one at the museum, good luck, you'll need it, hope your ammo is sufficient.....
Level < 35
Ghouls still hard to kill but you will get even... Deathclaws are still extremely tough but with the right weapons and the right tactics you will get them (Tip: shoot from places where a Deathclaw cant`t get.)
Level 50+
Like everything else Ghouls and Deathclaws will explode...

I found that explosives are totally OP in FO4, so I drastically reduced the explosive diameter of bullets, they will generally only damage the target they hit and not the surroundings.
I once had a Minigun that shot explosive bullets, but the engine could not handle hundreds of explosions at the same time and crashed each time I fired it.....
Still explosive bullets are the games overkill.... but (except the Spray and Pray) they usually appear late in the game.

Thanks. I wanted to check that how it was described, didn't mean the mod was way out of balance on the "other" side.

I'm using an earlier version of Bon's weapon mod and unreservedly endorse it........though in the interest of the "transparency" that seems to be in vogue today..................on one or more occasions of getting my *** handed to me by some deadly accurate NPC wielding one of Bon's Flanker slayers...........................I may have directed some mildly unChristianly language at him.
