Hi, here is my attempt at a hard(er)core mod. - No ammo in the stores (Prices too high) - All gun prices x 5 (in comparism to vanilla, x1.66 in comparism to hardcore) - no silencers for all large weapons (only handguns and SMGs can equip silencers) as a sweetener - all animal skins x2 in sales price. Just copy the __UNKNOWN directory into your patch_hd directory and repack. Have fun Attachments:HarderCore.7z (79.39 KB)

Cool! I'll learn you about weapon damage soon. Been meaning to write up a tutorial on the entity archetypes. Then you can play around with truly realistic flevels and see what you think (torturous to me ).

Does this mod have the higher realistic damage like Jravens HC mod and what version game should I use?

You can insert the files into any mod version below 19, e.g. it will fit with any of JRavens mods before the HC19 version (UBI changed the shop file in 1.9.0 and 1.10.0 so it will not work). I am planning to release a full Hard(er)core mod with lower ammo amounts in the near future.

Ok, here is a preliminary version - All prices x 5 - no ammo in stores - M79 cannot be bought in stores, its only available through quests - all weapons are stacked, meaning the next better weapon will only be available in stores when you buy the one before it, e.g. to get the STG you have to own the Ak, if you bought the STG the F1 will become available etc. etc. this will give the other weapons a chance that they will be used at all. - High powered weapons do not have silencers as attachments, they are only available for small arms (9mm and .45 ammo). - most containers have become smaller, less ammo, less room in the bag etc. On the up side I made combat and exploring more interesting by raising the amount of money in containers and the money on corpses considerably. So, to buy the better weapons and attachments you have to do a lot exploring or fighting. Unzip the attached file and copy it into the patch_hd_unpack. Overwrite if asked. Repack it and copy the file into data_win32 Attachments:__UNKNOWN.zip (292.93 KB)

The crafting levels sizes are not changed in the "CRAFTING" menu, Bontainer? I have a loot bag where the current size is 1 of 4, size is 60 "things", but - in "COLLECTION" it shows 40 of 45, with "getting full" warnings.
Other than that - it's very definitely a "Harder" HardCore! Cheesh. I just chased two Bharals seven miles, so I didn't have to waste those VERY expensive bullets!

Its the text thing again. I assume the shop texts can be found somewhere in oasisstring like all the rest, but right now I am not in the mood to go hunting for them...
What I am still looking for are the base values, to give the whole thing a better approach. E.g. instead of assault rifle ammo 90:30:30:30:60 something like 40:50:50:50:50
Loot bag is 30:15:15:15:25
GL Ammo is 20 througout, no raise possible. This will stay until I find a way to change the base value, then it will go to 4:4:4:4:8

Ok, next update. I managed to delete the Ammo from the shop, so no more astronomical prices, just NO Ammo at all. And TATAAAA, I put a well deserved end to the autocrafting of healing syringes. No more bluegreen plantjuice, now you have to buy or scavenge medpacs. I also lowered the amount of ammo that can be carried even more. You now have to be very careful with your shooting. Hosing down enemies with the P416 should be history.... And last, but not least, I changed the chain of weapon availability, so that the really desirable weapons like the ACE52 and the crossbow are at the very end of their foodchains - meaning that you have to buy all other rifles before you can get the A52 and all hanguns before you get the crossbow. Does this mod also increase the damage of the guns to be more realistic for both the player and enemy like JRavens HC Mod?
Also what game version am I meant to be using with this mod(s)?

shadow85 Most of the mods you will find here were made for game versions 1.8.0 and lower. If you want to use them you will find all the info you need in: farcrymods.freeforums.net/thread/7/modding-103-setting-back-08My Hardercore mod does have high (realistic) weapon damage and is taylored for game version 1.8.0
