Trying to analyze what's all in fcc_main, here's a list of all 'unique' hidNames used throughout the sectors in the game. Note that I grouped entries where possible, to prevent the list from being too long. I.e. the entry "FootPrintDecal/SHA_A9_DirtyFootPrintDecal_02" is really: FootPrintDecal/SHA_A9_DirtyFootPrintDecal_02_41 FootPrintDecal/SHA_A9_DirtyFootPrintDecal_02_42 FootPrintDecal/SHA_A9_DirtyFootPrintDecal_02_38 FootPrintDecal/SHA_A9_DirtyFootPrintDecal_02_45 FootPrintDecal/SHA_A9_DirtyFootPrintDecal_02_48 FootPrintDecal/SHA_A9_DirtyFootPrintDecal_02_44 FootPrintDecal/SHA_A9_DirtyFootPrintDecal_02_49 FootPrintDecal/SHA_A9_DirtyFootPrintDecal_02_43 FootPrintDecal/SHA_A9_DirtyFootPrintDecal_02_46 FootPrintDecal/SHA_A9_DirtyFootPrintDecal_02_23 etc. etc. Next step (for me at least) is trying to identify each unique entry, and converting it to an entry for use in the object_inventory. Ideally skipping archetypes we already know of.
Interesting. Could be or it could trigger as you approach (walk over an area) though my guess is the script triggers it for a cinematic - for example the fight with Kalinag
The lua files in all 3 of last Far Cry games are frustrating because they aren't "proper" LUA files to my (admittedly uneducated) eye. They look generated from some Ubi proprietary tool that links various steps/stages of the script together. They are very hard for me to follow in plain text. Worse I could never get a compiled nor decompiled script to work in FC4... well... I was able to sneak in the TimeScale(0.8) hack and the north unlock, but in general they would not work for me despite a lot of trying... feel like they need a proper compression program of their own because Jannes just didn't work for me.
If scripts could be written and triggered that would be very powerful indeed...
And all this science, I don't understand... It's just my job, five days a week
