You know how modding is...........................keep messing with a perfectly good mod until it breaks; spend hours/days trying to trouble shoot it; then get really ****** off, and throw the comp out the window onto the sidewalk to teach it "who's boss"! So I'm just starting this process with my FrankenMod III. I want to rework several/most of the weapon stats. I've got the Dunia 2 115 tool set, with a copy of Bon's Far Cry 4 projects folder installed in it; and I've reset the Current Projects.txt to Far Cry 4. I've also got a copy of Bon's modded files from the link above. In it is folder called ark.fcb/FC4_WEAPONS , and another folder called FC4_WEAPONS. Both of the WEAPON folders contain sub folders for the various FC 4 weapon categories e.g. pistols, ARs, and such. I've looked through several of the weapon folders e.g. 6P9, 1911 etc...............each contains an ark.fcb file that's a bunch of Binary Hex gibberish, and a corresponding .ark.xml file which is in plain English (sort of) that is familiar to me from when I was doing a lot of FC 3 weapon stat tweaking. I know what stat parameters to look for in the ark.xml files---tweak them accordingly, then I have to somehow convert them BACK into an ark.fcb format (which is my current problem), place them into the entityarchetypeslibrary folder; put that into an unpacked FrankenMod III; repack it, and hope the tweak weapon stats are still working when I fire up FC 4. What tool in the tool set do I use to convert the tweaked ark.xmls back into ark.fcbs? In FC 3 I think it was the CBO.exe tool, but that isn't working with these FC 4 files. I've noticed there is a ConvertXML.exe tool next to the CBO.exe in the tool set. I've run a couple of the ark.xmls through it, and it produces a file with the same file number with a .rml extension. Had to look that one up on the web. Can I just rename the converted .rml files to ark.fcb, and have them work??? I've been putzing around with this stuff for two nights now......and haven't figured it out yet. My cat has been very little help so far!

Pull the 1234567890.ark.xml (e.g. the readable weapon file) over the
Gibbed.dunia2.convertBinaryObject
and rename the result by deleting the "_converted" from the filename.
Then you can copy the 1234567890.ark.fcb into the entityarchetypeslibrary in patch_hd

That's what I thought the process was (recalling FC 3). When I drag the ark.xml file to the CBO.exe....................it's NOT generating a new file at all. Sounds like I need to tinker with the tool set some more. Gggggrrrrr!!!!!!!! UPDATE: Think I've got it fixed.....................after reading your post above; thereby confirming I'd been following the correct ark.xml to ark.fcb conversion process................that left me thinking either my copy of the CBO.exe is borked (broken), or there was something wrong with your FC 4 Projects folder. I DLed another copy of the FC 4 Projects folder.rar from a link (by RazorFinnish) in the FC 4 mods thread at Ubi. I compared the newly extracted FC 4 Projects content to yours in my 115 tool set, and saw I was missing a Far Cry 4.xml document. Copy and pasted that bad boy from RF's FC 4 Projects folder into your FC 4 Projects folder..........then dropped the ark.xml test file into the CBO.exe.......................and the ark.xml to ark._converted.fcb appeared like magic! I'd bet money the missing Far Cry 4.xml was my fault back when I created the hybrid tool set a few weeks ago. *$*&$%@#%*!!!! Hey! You got me thinking on the right track though! TY!

Alrighty. I can pack and unpack things just fine!, i can find the weapons and change them. The only thing i dont understand is how to change the ammo / backpack / grenades / etc. Im assuming its in __UNKNOWN\game but for some reason i cant get any files in there into english. Can someone help me out?

Hi my friend you can do or in this web a mod farcry4 blus PS3 to fix bugs like look far the the blood is too chilly very brilliant red and sometime apear I need realistic more blood and bullet holes more bigger Gore in cut animals like blood in body etc please help me I have cfw 4.82 cobra

Before you start this, please make a backup of the files patch_hd patch_hd.fat They are located in your far cry 4/data_win32 directory. If anything goes wrong you should be able do undo any damage with these two files. You will need the gibbed dunia2 tools, the latest release is dunia2-r179_b115. You can download them from the nexus forum www.nexusmods.com/farcry3/mods/86/?Unpack them into a folder and open it, open the subdirectory bin and keep it open! Now open the far cry 4/data_win32 folder in a new window. Drag the file patch_hd into the window you left open (bin) and move it over the Gibbed.Dunia2.Unpack executable. A folder in your far cry 4/data_win32 with the name patch_hd_unpack will be generated. Now copy any data you want to integrate into that folder, e.g. if its Ceano sights copy the folder graphics into the patch_hd_unpack directory. Now drag the patch_hd_unpack directory over the Gibbed.Dunia2.Pack executable in the bin window you left open, as a result two new files will appear in the far cry 4/data_win32 directory. patch_hd_unpack patch_hd_unpack.fat Delete the patch_hd and patch_hd.fat files and rename the two new files with the names of the deleted files. Done.

Hi guys. I'm very new here. So I'm fond of FC 4, I love it BUT my favorite weather in the game - rain - i sooooo short and seldom!!!
GUYS, ANYONE WHO IS THE MODDER PLEASE CREATE A LITTLE MOD WHICH PROLONGS RAINS in game.
I will be thankful or can even pay real money for that!

Unfortunately there is no rain in FC4. It was replaced by the light snowfall you find in the North I tried re-enabling rain back in the day and sadly never got it working. Dunno if anyone else wants to take a shot at it.

I have created some replacement texture files for GTA V, that is my only experience in this field. Could you please direct me on how to do the above mentioned? For GTA, I had to find the file, extract it, convert it to a Photoshop/ Gimp editable file (install plugin for the editor as well), edit (in this case, minor colour adjustments), convert back to game file, replace the file. Please help me with the exact tools and steps. Appreciated.
