This guy turns around and goes away from Fall's End. He still ultimately hits the areas Ubi wanted to highlight (fishing and airplanes) for the demo, but I think there's some interesting looks at stuff not seen in the other gameplay videos so far:

Understanding it's the E3 demo being shown; the starting the game has me worried - no solo play? You've got to take along a companion?

Doubt it. More than likely you'll be able to play solo from the get go, or ditch friendly AI awfulness at an early opportunity.
I'm really hoping they incorporate some of the advances they've incorporated into GRW (honkin' gameworld size, ballistic drop, rail system that works, "realer" world suppressor sounds [e.g. louder], and at least a perk to remove suppressor performance drop)!

In fact they said you had to meet these folks (Nick, Gracie not sure if you start with boomer though as "your dog" or you pick him up on the way) in the open world and do missions to get them to work with you so pretty sure you can solo to your hearts content... but guess we'll know more as time goes on...
Also I'm guessing some of the folks not seen in the demo, but in the other videos could be companions - Pastor Jerome (close range support - shotgun & vest?) and Mary May (serving up molotov cocktails?)
I think one thing that's a big positive as far as combat is the upper compass ala Fallout 4 / Skyrim rather than a minimap in the corner showing you where every bad guy is. If they also let us turn off seeing through walls it will be damn near perfect for me.

Yup, here's hoping they've learned their lesson(s), and allow for options that allow grownups to play without the silly handholding features of the previous Far Cry's. Oh, to be back in Africa ....
