:)OKAY, WEAPONS SALE! 1/2 price mayhem and violence for sale...... yahoo? This weekend only I guess. Today,in the game "Dying Light" August 29, 2015 Saturday PDST CA at around noon (?) the prices did indeed halve in the Harran shops selling weapons and other such. I thought I was going to lose out since last night friday, I did not get the discount and had bought two expensive weapons, oh well. Anyhoo, for those who have been waiting to get off the fortune they have amassed in the dying city, now is the time for those to buy big, IF you can find a deal for like the orange weapons grade with 5 updates. I am going to go around to all the shops I can find and look for deals for those sweet Katanas or short swords I prefer. JFYI.

Anyone know what you use the gasoline for in game Dying Light Old Town? Bugging me, I found a place EDIT (PLACES) there is always a can of gas and it says "Korek was here" like some other Easter Eggs. It is on top of one of those round small buildings that look like Yurts from Mongolia. By the waterfront parking lot. It won't explode in flames and can't detonate it with gunshot. Weird.

'fraid have no idea either - perhaps something not completed in the final cut of the game.

By "Rias Building", do you mean his twin towers back in the slums (which is the final mission), or the side mission labeled "Outposts" which does take place in old town?

Sorry for the misunderstanding. I meant the last mission, at least I suppose it is, since I haven't played thru it yet, heh. Yeah, in the slums. Called Extraction. For some unknown reason, I thought it was in old town, I guess I was sequencing that if the old town was last area, last mission would be there. I have been traveling around using the posters in main buildings of good guys and the process outlined by yourself using mission changing to get there without leaving game totally, just quit first screen and continue on with next screen to mission chosen site. SPOILER ALERT!! Also the swimming sewer method in those places it is used. Better than the fast travel system in far cry series I think, makes it a little more difficult.

I really can't add anything significant which isn't covered in Major Slack's videos of the ending - the last three videos. It of course will be a spoiler, but I'm not one who really cares so much about the actual story in a video game.
I will state that in comparison to Slack, I don't do as much "Rambo" style fighting, so once you get past the part which is, as stated, required running/jumping to complete, then you can play more or less as you enjoy playing the game. Until the very end, when it's pre-set - which you'll see if you view the last video.

I will check it out after completing game to see what I did wrong... heh. I enjoy the playing more than anything, fighting, gathering millions of dollars (2.5 so far) to have and rub hands together and say "excellent" ALA Mr. Burns of Simpsons. Am going to try to build super-weapon of all King upgrades with probably Skull Machete weapon and electro-burn enhancement, for hobby. Besides whatever slo-poke mechanical wizard dude makes up, he takes forever and a day!
spoiler!
Found out have to let trunks and backs of police cars ferment for days at a time playtime-wise to get higher and costlier weapons and upgrades. Interesting detail.

I found that (and this isn't surprising in a vanilla cut of a game) that once you have all the skills mastered and the very good blueprints (such as electric/burn combos) you pretty much own the playground - with one swing kills the default. Your damage rating of weapons will be far superior than anything carried by Rais' thugs.
Having 2.5 in the wallet goes to show how out of balance in the game items pricing is. Way to go, TO!! My goal was to reach 100K, then coast from there. I think I maxed out around 750K on my second pass of the game.

Wow, I only mentioned it cause I felt I had been foolishly spending too much on weapons, heh. Makes me feel good. Course I overdo every darn game I play that I really like. Still play FC 4 often as my gson will take over the Steam account (I used Uplay, thankfully, for FC3 and 4) after homework is done and play Minecraft or Gary's Mod till I take him home hours later.
Talk about getting your money's worth. I think I put in over a man year's hours, 2,080, in Far Cry 2 since it was so amazing open sandboxy and kinda hard to play what with the clunky transport system. I believe I had just retired about then as well, so there is that to consider. Well, during that man year I found out that the combo of river, bus, and car depending on destination could be handled quite quickly. Yeah, you would hope so with wasting that much time on a game.
What was amazing to me was in certain jobs you would get, you could complete them effortlessly it seemed. One called for a certain censor to be killed on a mountainside resort above a lake. The developer had put a boat with gernade launcher right in a cove across from the mountainside, you just had to walk about 200ft down the lake to it and pull it out, go 50ft and unload on resort. Later, I found I could step out of where I got the orders, get into my gernade launcher jeep, launch very many gernades over a mountain, into the resort, and within minutes complete that portion of the job without touching the dirt. I still wonder if the put that into the game on purpose, as it was within range of the launcher. If so, that is what I like, legs to run on and on.
Not all of the jobs turned out to be that easy to finally develop a plan on. But most were so easy, I became obsessed in a way with efficiency of gameplay. GRRR, kinda, heh. This game Dying Light seems to me anyway, to have deeper legs, as I am still finding at least once a week of say 30 hrs of play, a new parts area or weapons source I was unaware of after many hundreds of hours of play so far. Yummy for brain.

Say, does anyone (prob Mike) know when and if the red doors and grey doors are unlocked, I noticed that other doors have begun unlocking as it progresses, mostly from inside, letting out virals to run amok. Perhaps they harbor Denolishers to enhance your stay in Sochi, I mean Harran.

Perhaps they harbor Denolishers to enhance your stay in Sochi, I mean Harran. If this is in reference to the normal red doors (for example) that you come across in the game while free-roaming, they are bolted from the inside. Thus there should be an alternate way into the building.
Some doors require keys, which must be located during a specific mission. Thus that specific mission must be undertaken.

Thanks, bub. I had noticed the bolts on some of the red doors, but I must investigate further on those I didn't get access to.
