I posted this idea a little while ago. Basically Far Cry 4 does not support adding different kinds of knives / blades to the shop BUT one way to still allow for some interesting variation is to swap the default Kukri for another blade.
Attached to this post is a zip file containing various folders. Each contains an alternate knife/sword that replaces Ajay's default kukri.
To try out any of the alternate blades all you need to do is copy the contents of the folder to your unpacked path_hd and then pack it back up.
( Each folder contains a folder called entityarchetypeslibrary and inside of that a file called 7786592418461.ark.fcb so when correctly placed the file will be:
patch_hd\entityarchetypeslibrary\7786592418461.ark.fcb )
Also included is a folder called bugged which contains the chinese dagger, tribal knife and shiv from FC3. Sadly these knives do not seem to work quite right and are not held correctly in Ajays hand. This bug/glitch is the same one as when trying to get the combat knife to work in Far Cry 3. Something in the model files (bone, node, etc) probably needs to be adjusted in order to work with the Far Cry 4 animations.
Regardless of this there are still a fair number of blades to try out including:
Machete
Bloody Machete (aka "The Butcher")
Shangra La Knife (used by the hero)
Shangra La Machete (used by the demons)
Japanese Tanto
Please try these out if you can and let me know how they work. If all seems well I will make a proper mod out of them and place it on Nexus.
