Hey Ghosts,
So a new update has come out and I know everyone is hoping there is some juicy info hidden in there like PvP!
Sadly there is not
So sorry, but I have nothing I can share in regards to PvP. Ubi is keeping a tight lid on it and so for now we just have to wait until they give us more information.
I *WILL* however share what few new items I could find in the latest update. I'll just do this as a singular post rather than try and stretch this out. Spoilers ahead. Don't look if you don't want to know.
Season 3 Spoilers
So it looks like from the new splash image (titled UI_Season3_Coca_Def_Map) that Season 3 will revolve around the Cocoa fields of Bolivia. Here is your season 3 back image:
Unsure of what kinds of challenges await us, but some possible rewards include these (grain of salt of course - these are not explicitly listed as season 3 rewards... they could be for something else):
What is interesting about these are the 2 hats on the end (Chapka and Ghillie Suit) are actually items that have been in the code, but I did not previously report them (along with another "hat"). I hadn't mentioned them before because the naming and formatting appeared to suggest that these items were possibly works in progress or slated to be Ubi Club exclusive items. I actually expected them to be slated for the fall and other fall/winter items added to go with them, but it looks like that probably isn't the case anymore.
Here is a better look at these 3 possible new rewards - the Chapka (Russian hat with ear flaps), over sized beanie (that's what it's called) and the fall mini-ghillie (just covers the upper torso I believe):
There was also what I believe is a new patch called "Parachute". There might have been other new patches I overlooked, but none stuck out. I don't mind the patches, but they aren't the most interesting things obviously:
New Store Item Spoilers
There were 4 new entries that look like new upcoming packs for the in game store. Two of them are new vehicle packs and two of them look like they make use of existing assets to create an American themed pack (perhaps for 4th of July?) and a pack of items from the first season for anyone who may not have completed all the challenges and unlocked those items.
Santa Blanca Vehicle Pack:
Unidad Vehicle Pack:
Independence Pack:
Season 1 Pack:
Tier 1 reward Spoilers
SERIOUSLY Spoilers Ahead - Do Not Proceed if you want to discover Tier 1 on your own
LAST CHANCE!
Ok so Tier 1 is the new mode for GRW and as you go up in Tiers you unlock new items. Some of these are "Resource Packs" and "XP Boosters", but a few are tangible rewards like we get in the season challenges.
These are the items marked as "Prestige" which is the internal code for Tier 1. I do NOT know in what order you get these nor at what levels.
Several new bandanas and a new helmet with goggles:
Two new face paints and two new tattoos:
Two new camos and two new guns (not new weapons, variants of existing HTI and I think it's the ACR):
There may be other rewards as well that I missed or that didn't necessarily have a new icon attached to them. There are after all 50 total tiers and only about 12 new icons. These however were very obvious rewards for increasing ranks in Tier 1.
Spirit and Gladiator wtf Teaser
Ok I confess I have no idea yet what these are for, but there are several wip items such gear and face paint with the names Spirit and Gladiator attached to them. All of them however are very clearly placeholder and work in progress pieces.
What is interesting is there also are 3 patches named Spirit, Gladiator and Prestige. Now Prestige is the internal code name for Tier 1. One could wonder if there are additional game modes or "tiers" coming that involve these ubiquitous "Spirit" and "Gladiator" names (or whatever they will actually be called). Gladiator has a heavy vest associated with it - one might speculate from the name that could be something to do with wave based attacks. Spirit seems like it could potentially be stealth orientated. Who knows though. Just like the Kilroy patch from last time there always seems to be weird shit to find in the files
