from MAX PC ,The annual Computex convention kicks off next week (June 2) and one of the highlights could be Nvidia's new graphics card, the GeForce GTX 980 Ti. First pics of the forthcoming card have found their way to the web, along with a few specs.
Both Videocardz.com and WCCFTech.com posted separate images of the card, including full body shots. Nothing particularly wild stands out about the card from an aesthetic standpoint -- it uses what looks like a traditional Nvidia heatsink cooler with the "GTX 980 Ti" branding imprinted along the edge.
According to the former source, early benchmarks show the card rendering double the amount of hair on Witcher's chest compared to the GTX 980.
As for the hardware specs, it has two power connectors, 8-pin + 6-pin, and the same display connectors as the Titan X—DVI, HDMI, and three DisplayPorts.
Based on previous rumors and leaked info, it's also believed the GTX 980 Ti will feature 2,816 CUDA cores, 176 TMUs, 96 ROPs, 1,000MHz core clock, 1,079MHz boost clock, and 6GB of GDDR5 clocked at 1,753MHz on a 384-bit bus. Naturally, you'll want to take all those with a pinch of salt.
Pricing for the card is expected to be in the range of $700 to $750. WOW double the amount of witcher chest hair , OMG the fur in FC4 will simply look divine

Great, they are finally going to fill that ridiculous gap twixt the GTX 980 and Titan X. Super, 6GB VRAM should be plenty enough for games to come for a LOOOONG time. And then there is always SLI...... twice or thrice.....

WHEW! Things be breaking out all over, Nvidia says yeah, true dat to ASUS models and the benchmarks available for us mortals to drool over at this place willyr1100 gave us: videocardz.com/55739/nvidia-geforce-gtx-980-ti-gpu-configuration-confirmed-gaming-performance-leakedhope that works, if not, try pasting it YIPEE! I got a link that works, I bad. Better not get too hypered up, might disappear . Looks to be closer to the Titan X than the 980 by a long shot, looking over it again, a very long shot, real close everywhere but memory, and at only (EDIT 699usd) , I guess they gotta show a gain for the bucks with the more dear Titan X. Guess they just basically took out some rendering Xsistors and memory.. There is a good picture layout of the board over at the previously mentioned site by thread starter willyr1100: wccftech.com/nvidia-geforce-gtx-980-ti-official-pictures-unveiled-nvttm-cooler-gm200310-gpu-6-gb-gddr5-vram/Now trying for double link in one post, darn I gots confidence.... heh.... Now this article on a 990ti with double cards got me for 2 seconds, then saw they were checking framerates on a 990ti with minesweeper the video game and only got 2,322 fps.... wccftech.com/nvidia-gtx-990-ti-24gb-amd-r9-395x2-16gb-benchmarked-reviewed/THIS LAST ONE IS A JOKE, OK, I understand, a JOKE. Hmmm, joke looks misspelled, hm. EDIT (gee, I don't know, they got like 3,455 fps in Solitare, which is a AAA game for sure.... )

Okay, got the price on the new GTX 980ti wrong, it should be 699usd. That seems more reasonable. Sorry for the mistake, will edit the above post with wrong price mentioned...

well i couldn't wait till the ss arrived, sigh, i broke the bank and got the evga sc 980 ti w backplate(as i am alway fooling around in there) and a cosair 850 w power supply. the little bit of far cry 4 that i got in last nite was impressive, monitor is the asus vg248qe non g sync at hd 60hz,1080p (1920x1080) before i had the evga 770 sc 2gb memory, was running about 40 to 60 fps and useing just about all of the memory at low to med settings. now with just about all the whistles and bells turned on in the game am getting around 78 to 80 ish fps and useing about 3gb memory out of the 6gb, didn't notice any coil whine or the fans speeding up a lot (but after so many yrs of the old lady yelling at me i could be a little deaf lol) i saw that the nvidia software has some sort of compression algorithm in the games optimizing section that gave a higher display density, not sure if that is the right definition of it, will try that tonight, but just an initial impression i like it imho, 1 thing to note there is an air gap at the bottom of the rear heatsink if u hold it up to the light and look at it sideways, maybe it was made with the titan x in mind for the future, just guessing, but doesn't seem to affect cooling for me,but will see later with other games

NICE, I like the EVGA series of cards myself, been using them for years. They just seem to have good business practices as far as I have seen, so I sticks with them. With the backplate and supercharging, should be greatest thing going for gaming. Everything you picked up seems to me is about as good as it gets within sanity. Have fun.
Dying light will use a bunch of memory as Far Cry 4 does also when it is cooking good, at least in my puter. It seems like a good game too. I lay back till sure it is AAA good game before I purchase but end up behind the curve, but that is what a late adopter like me will get..... heh.

thks takeout ,it's the first upper end I've had will be tinkering with it for a while am trying it at,3840x2160, 100 refresh rate, full screen, & triple buffering, seems to go between 30 to 60 fps with 3787mb ram to a little over 4 gb, the only problem so far is at this resolution I can barley see the evga precision x read out on the screen for the stats lol, simulated fur looks nice on all the critters,it's also is putting out some heat at 77c but not hearing the fans spin up and down, there running just about 1720 to 17 50 rpm which is just under 1/2 speed, well back to the game

Keep us appraised, Willy, of the fun and discoveries you come across, we will be interested for sure, few of us are in a position to do same, and like to be near "greatness" of technology. I could always have another boat come in someday, and get one myself... glad the sim fur finally worked out for Nvidia, if that is what happened. Have fun.
By the way, if there is a sale on "Dying Light" game, it is great, just a little putting off at first, seems too "Skyrimmy" if you know what I mean, kinda complicated, but works out that you don't have to get too much into the details, you can play at your own speed and style. Mike told me about the "MajorSlackAttack" videos for "Dying Light" game, thanks again, and they help enourmously, just have to have some time to zoom thru the gameplay to get to what stymies you but worth it. He is also funnier than heck, has minion or something like a helper, heh. Dem so darn cute, yeah, I said cute....

I haven't played skyrim Takeout, but everyone seems to like dying light,i'll check out the video's so I think i'll wait till the winter sale to buy, so far I 'am still impressed with the 980ti and playing around with the settings and resolutions and refresh rates, but have to admit that I've been slacking game wise as I just bought a micro x4 107L quad copter by Hubsan and have been terrorizing the wife and myself trying to learn how to fly it indoors, somehow even managed to get it tangled up in my beard lol

If you haven't spent a coupld hundred hours exploring FC4, you don't need Dying Light for a while yet. Just when you get a bit bored or need a diversion. I rediscovered FC4 with the Nightmare Mod, and now don't have enough time to play both that and Dying Light, so am in a heavenly quandry, I guess, I know many would love my problems.
But my Gkids I usually watch are away on vacation, so I can be a video bum and sit and play all day and night if I want, kinda nice, but a bit lonely, ah well.
