Hello Everyone! I am new to the forums here, as you can probably tell by the freshness of my account and lack of experience. I do apologize for throwing this thread in this sub-board seeing as this was probably the most relevant board (though it possibly might not be) but I'm seeking anyone with modding experience to help me.
In Far Cry 4, modders where able to access the Signature ACE version of the A52 despite it being cut from the full release.
In Far Cry 5, I've noticed that from video previews a week before release showing and presenting all outfits showed one of the "Cult Flamer" outfit as seen in the video below (Timestamp at around 0:51), upon full release of the game, I was unable to find the outfit at all.
Basically, I'd like to learn how to open up the game files for Far Cry 5 to see if this outfit is even obtainable to some degree so I can modify my save to use said outfit. (Or if someone else wants to at least pioneer it and attempt to try and find it, that would be very nice too.)
If it was possible to do in Far Cry 4, I'm fairly certain most of the techniques used to obtain cut content in 4 could be used in 5 considering 5 piggy-backs off 4's engine. (Educated Guess).
Once again, not really the best board to post such a thread and I do apologize in advance, but i'll be keeping tabs on this thread and I look forward to any responses from this community, while also become a part of it!

Hi, Lancer. Welcome to the forum.
Yes, I'm aware of many locked contents at launch. Perhaps Ubisoft have another plan to release them. I'm also thrilled to discover and unlock them when proper tools arrive. But as of now, we have to patiently wait.
The only thing I can do at the moment is to rename patch.dat and patch.fat to patch.fat/fat.BAK to unlock Vector .45.
As much as I want to mod this game, unfortunately game save file format has changed a lot due to the microtransactions implemented in this fifth installment.

Yep we don't have a proper set of tools to decompress the files yet. Also the water is murky at the moment about what will and won't be acceptable to mod. Since this game has 3 content DLC coming along with another 3 announced mystery drops (6 in total) AND they are going to do live events and map making contests and the like - it is very possible that some of the content like that outfit and the Vector will appear as an unlock or reward at a later date. Another Ubi title Ghost Recon Wildlands had a very extensive post launch set of microtransactions and also seasonal challenges which gave out free vanity items so something similar may be in the works for Far Cry 5. Sadly Ubisoft is tight lipped about any future plans. They rarely share any kind of roadmap with the fans. Once proper tools are available we can look and at least make some informed guesses as to what content is locked and if was intentional or a mistake. If an outfit or weapon is marked as DLC, ULC or some other indicator that it is intentionally being held back it will probably be left alone. Certainly not interested in making enemies with Ubisoft over their content. The A52 in far Cry 4 seemed very much like a mistake. I know that seems crazy, but consider that for the entire lifetime duration of Far Cry 4 they never fixed an error with the sell value for Eagle Feathers in the internal shop file despite it being reported. There were other "bugs" like this and incorrect values that cropped up here and there and were never fixed so I conclude that they simple messed up. This time they *SEEM* like there will be a lot of post launch support so we will see what they have in store for us. Mods may or may not come in the near future. A lot has to be worked out first though there are people looking at it

That's an under-statement. Even without the issue of modding tools, the continuation of any changes by Ubisoft (until, when?) will make it a crap shoot.

It's extremely likely we would be looking at an aggressive update/patching schedule and historically yes this has made modding a complete pita.
I was able to look deeper into the files today and indeed there is a HUGE amount of content that Ubisoft will likely be releasing in the way of new skins and weapons. Possibly other unique features and game modes as well. Nothing I can obviously say with 100% certainty, but to all appearances FC5 will have support for an extended length of time (likely 9 months to a year... there definately appears to be enough content labeled in a manner that makes it obviously "seasonal" aka Easter/Halloween/Christmas that support could extend all year long*)
*I'm just making educated guesses. How well Ubisoft adheres to this and preforms remains to be seen. I think they did an adequate job with Ghost Recon Wildlands (not the DLC, but the post launch support) and I would like to think they will do an even BETTER job with Far Cry 5.

Seasonal?! Sssssoooooo we can play wearing a pumpkin barrel and and witch hat??!! I'll have to humbly apologize to Ubi for all my FC 5 "lack of creativity" comments! Very embarrassing!
