A great guy named Vinh1998 made some cool darker outfits for the Royal Guard and Golden Path. Here is one of his threads on the Ubi forums showing them off (there *might* still be some working links there): forums.ubi.com/showthread.php/988207-Rmcburn-s-mods=6e0cbe3d62cf8f013b8bc8ad7e2d9cf4&highlight=uniformsHe allowed me to use the Royal Guard ones in my mods so most of the hardcore mods should have at least those in them. I tried with varying degrees of success to change the Royal Army to green / brown, but had issues with the shaders the game uses. Could never quite get something that consistently looked good. They usually came out way too bright. Also FC4 uses some kind of random shader (probably assigned through the kit files) that adds bright red to various pieces. I could never disable this so no matter what I would do with the textures they would still spawn in the game with red on them.  Some of my older hardcore mods might have the green Royal Army textures. |

BTW predaaator if you need an updated file list to extract files from FC4 please do text or email me. Annoy me about it or I will forget to send it to you  I'm not working on Far Cry modding right now so I am real lazy about digging into the old files, but don't be afraid to ask... and ask... and ask LOL I keep hoping some day I will want to go back to it, but tbh I got really annoyed with modding it after a year and half. It has to be hands down the most difficult game to mod (and it sure feels like Ubisoft is trying to prevent their games from being modded ) |
