Do you not think that this will, in some measure - move the Nightmare version... away from "Nightmare"? I mean - Ajay is only a little guy, and he can carry (ok - "almost") what most platoons can carry altogether!!! I mean - isn't the idea is to make the game even harder than the UBI "Hard" with the JR HardCore version on top! Only 'slightly serious' here, but more in line with "Nightmare" might be limiting him to the AK as his sole AR, along with the SVD as his sniping tool - plus a few grenades, bottles and knives - for the whole game! I certainly play it that way for a long way in. Up North it gets a tad tougher maybe,as those guys.... well .. they have money, and new suits, an' armour and stuff. Rebels? Golden Path homies? They get the cast-offs, and whatever L can beg, buy or steal. ..just 2 cents. Tried going up north with just very basic weapons and got killed so many times that I gave it up. I swear those guys in the north can even see through rocks if you get close enough while trying a takedown . . . LOL

Hahahahaha! Ajay needs an M1A1 tank! Now that is a great idea - pity it cannot be done. Nearest I got to that was at the first lake when you enter the north - there is a gunboat - and I had lots of fun shooting up trucks and jeeps on the bridge and sinking a boat. I have to say that the explosions in Far cry 4 are very well done.

pj (like stopping an old British motor-bike dripping oil.... )you forgot the nefarious lucas electrics, lol, the oil dripping reminded me of my first 1955 harley, leaked like a sieve all over the carpet, didn't have a garage at the time just an apartment with a wide enough door and an understanding manager,(whew) guys, i have been learning to hunt with the bow and will also now start to gather plants didn't think about that as we just use med packs now, and yes i still hit the refill ammo in the store,old habit (i do the homer simson duh oh), to make fast coin now, a first for me, seems like i shoot animals more in the ass than in the side,need to work on the stealth part i guess lol, also is the hunter bow more powerful than the recurve bow ?
managed to get the gepard .50 last nite, but have noticed that the sound is off a bit for reloading a mag when not looking down the sight, sound is finished before mag is seated, have any of you noticed it or is it just my sound card? also i noticed that the 44 mag hunter short barrel was not attached after a while i think i switched it out for the 1911 and when i went back to it was just the frame and ejector rod, but when the extension was bought and installed, that (extension) was showing up all the time as normal,didn't try to go back to the short barrel yet, maybe it's my video card?
i like the fact that there are no silencers for the rifles now, as that was always my go to for taking down outposts, used one last nite to get the demon fish outpost, 1 shot and move till they were gone instead of just squat and shoot,will try the bow and knife throw on the next one but i expect to feel like swiss cheese. added the time out extension fix last nite but didn't get a chance to try it as it got to late, will look forward to that to nite to flush out the ammo bag and start the amita,sabal golden path missions later on i am sure i will have ?'s about the different files as i still am mucking about (screwing up) with the 1.10 vanilla files off and on and there is a lot of info for me to try to wrap my pinhead around,as always thks for the help and patience

Willy - Keep enjoying the game. One more point is that you can silently take out the alarms with an arrow when you do not have a gun with a silencer fitted

thks for the tip jimbo,this 1 of those games that i won't get tired of, has there ever been a game where you could hear a golden path fighter stomach growl from lack of food, at first i thought it was a critter sneaking up behind me lol, there is always something different, 1 of the games i have on steam, shogun tw has a little over 2,000 hrs according to steam (gotta love how they keep track of stuff like that)and i will definitely get past that with FC4.in all it's illustrious versions

Doing it as we speak, Bontainer. Just using the AK + the Sig and the B416 at the moment, and will remove the other stuff in a day or so. I did add back the suppressor to the SVD at the same time, though (forgive me...), as I reckon Ajay would have one available. I want to remove the third slot from the holster though, as something like this - along with the rest of your mod - forces one to plan ahead, which brings in even greater "intellectual satisfaction" to the game.
Do you have a hint on where to go to remove that third slot? And - if it's possible - how about editing the screen pic to show only the 2 + 1 slots?

There are 2 ways to do it: In both case the file is \patch_hd\__UNKNOWN\misc\4EF705FE5CDB8750.maybe.rml Search for Name="FCC_Upgrades/A2 - 4 weapon holster" Way 1 - delete the whole paragraph starting with <Generic disLibItemId ending with </Generic>. In game the whole weapon slot part of the crafting menu will disappear after you have crafted Tier 2 Way 2 - Set the requirement iNeeded="5" to a very high value "1000" for example. So you will have to kill 500 angry badgers to get the 4th gun. I would choose Way 1 because this way leads to a sixth picture overlapping and it does not show if you have more than 6 skins. I did use your way 1, (and was successful) as part of it - logical, but I can make no sense (at all) of the above posts in that thread, (though you seem to find your way around!). Hash numbers - BinHex - Hex conversion??? I can convert any binary number to decimal in my head. I can convert Octal to Decimal and then to Hex without too much thought. I studied this stuff at College, Bon: but here - I don't even understand what the link and processes are between these two files. Duh! BinHex is a new one to me, an (Apple) encryption algorithm as far as I know, so how can we "convert" from BinHex - to Byte, Word, Double, Double-Double, float, int, char or anything else. Some of these are data bit-allocation sizes: some are data types: Hex, Octal, binary and decimal are all counting systems! What am I missing?
.... Anyway - I thought I had screwed up the whole (..DB8750) file, as at one point she bombed on startup, and later - I ended up with - "no holster picture at all!" with everything left-shifted! - which is the result you're telling me I should get (provided I already have three slots)! I can see you've been there. I just expected to see three slots, so I've effectively been chasing my own tail.
Last - yup - reducing the choice of weapons and the number carried makes for a better game I think. I'd be pretty sure that crazy preacher doesn't have any "in's" with Vladimir Putin, Obama, or any of the big guys out there, so he gets what's left over from the Middle East. scratching for ammo and med kits gives one a different perspective.

I have a similar problem with the fcb files, I still do not understand the system fully. Luckily you can change the format (binhex to float32). There is a relation to the archetypes but i still haven`t found out what the dunia tools are actually doing.

In game the whole weapon slot part of the crafting menu will disappear after you have crafted Tier 2 Checked it out, but when you start a new game,it will crash as soon as you craft the first holster (5 wolves), so, as inelegant as it is, way 2 is the only possibility to do it, right now. It will also only work when you haven`t already crafted tier 4.
