Hopefully someone else will be able to chime in here since I have no idea why that is happening for you.
Clearly it sounds graphics card and/or settings related, but I really don't know.
Edit - no further reports on this so I assume it was an anomaly of this persons setup (graphics card, etc)

I initially removed the tagging icons (icons over the enemies and animals heads) making the hunting syringe not tag anything. Combined with the removed wallhack (seeing enemies through walls) it made the first level of the hunting syringe useless. To help compensate I added the benefits of increased animal damage (surprisingly and unlisted by Ubi decreased damage from animals was actually already a stock benefit)
When Ubi updated FC4 to allow camera tagging to be adjusted I restored the tagging icons so my suspicion is that the vanilla syringe automatically tags all enemies even if you have that option off in the settings menu. Another HUD related bug.
So to answer your question currently (apparently) the syringes give those benefits IN ADDITION to tagging everything. Although you should not see them through walls/hills/etc as red silhouettes.
Interestingly several people complained back then that they didn't like the hunting syringe NOT tagging enemies and asked me to make it so you could only tag enemies by using syringes. Unfortunately the only method I know to remove the icons is by making them blank images so it was an all or nothing proposition.

Interesting, did not work in FC3. Attached a new game save, right after Ajay awakens in the valley. Basically a new game without the intro movie. If anyone is intersted i have save games after each quest in the game, just tell me what you want. You did mean FC4 right? So it didn't load for your game? EDIT - BTW yours worked for me (waking in the valley). Mine were just a little further on - after the bell tower fight with Sabal and meeting Amita at the first village. I was trying to start it where I wish I could start the missions from.

Thanks I will check and see. Most likely I have the wrong text pointer for that upgrade (I think snow and cloud leopard are one number apart). Should be an easy fix. Let me know if you find any other discrepancies.

I am changing the links on the website to point to here. In the mean time if you need to search for something on the old forum here is the link (in case you don't have it bookmarked): jravens.wix.com/farcrymods#!forums/cip7 Not sure how long the old forums will stick around as I don't intend to keep paying for them. These forums are light years ahead in terms of features and usability so we will be hanging out here for a while EDIT - hrrrmmm the new forum doesn't like the pound and exclamation (#!) symbol in that link for some reason. Sorry guys you may need to copy and paste it into your browser.

Most likely the 100 XP is due to "discovering" Banapaur.
Since this is posted under "other ...", I assume this isn't a modified v0.18.1, but a clean no-intro/tutorial start for an otherwise vanilla run, correct? Yep this is vanilla 1.10 (I finally managed to get it verified and working) Since it's a clean file without really interacting with anything (karma, shops, skins, etc) it should be very compatible with various mods (mine and others) ...well presuming it's not locked to just my account of course.

Can't recall if offline saves are locked to the Ubi account or not... If not attached to this post is a fresh start save file using the latest 1.10 Ubi update. I stealthed my way up to the bell tower and then hid like a little b*tch in the corner during the attack (What? I'm not involved in whatever "this is". I'm just looking for Lankshmana) Subsequently this means the save file starts you in Banapaur with nothing earned yet - no XP (well actually 100 xp because apaprently the game awards you 100 xp just for making it past the intro mission), no karma points, no skins, no weapons, etc. Just Ajay, his moms letter and ashes, a machete and 100 xp. Welcome to Kyrat! To use just backup your saves and replace with the contents of the zip file. Let me know if it's locked to my account (hopefully not ) Attachments:1.10 Start.zip (15.28 KB)

I think the world "bottom" is an ocean with a kill field or somesuch. I seem to remember landing in water on one occasion and then taking damage very rapidly until dead (verse just instant death from the fall), but I'm not sure. Either way the land is built up plenty high from "sea level" it would seem. Guess that was intentional so they could do large complex underground areas if they wanted.
One thing is for sure - Far Cry has a massive world space.

Cool! I'll learn you about weapon damage soon. Been meaning to write up a tutorial on the entity archetypes. Then you can play around with truly realistic flevels and see what you think (torturous to me ).

Here's another mod (well technically a map though I did have to use some tricks to create it). This ones only a few years old. My son got me playing minecraft with him for a while and my nephew created one of the most popular maps of all time for minecraft (Skyblocks) so I had to take a crack at creating some kind of survival themed map: www.minecraftforum.net/forums/mapping-and-modding/maps/1550279-challenge-blocks-survival-oasis-survival-over-5Got pretty good reviews from most folks who played it. Even got some YouTubers to showcase it so it was a really good experience. Sadly minecraft just doesn't have long lasting appeal to me.

All in all a productive evening last night.

I stumbled across this today and it made me smile. Funny that after 11 years it even still exists on the internet. Not counting things I never released this was most likely one of my oldest mods for a game. It was for the game Galactic Civilizations I and was just a recolor of some enemy ships (to make them red and fierce in a Klingon-ish style): www.galciv1.com/library.asp?searchtext=thrull&LibID=0&sort=UpdateDate&order=DescendingPost up links of some the old mods you have made for games

The shop screen in game (like all the Far Cry 3 & 4 screens) is actually a flash file. So unfortunately it's display method of the weapon stats is fixed to however the GUI designer created it. Which in this case means it's bars only The only work around I can think of is to remove the weapon stats and use the OASISSTRING of the weapon description to include numeric data. But even this has bugs and limits (lip synch bug when modifing the oasisstring file, limited number of lines allowed in the description, etc.) This is similar to the approach Ziggy used on his weapon stats in FC3 I think. I did use this method to include the ammo info, etc in prior mods. But yeah I know what you mean about trying to compare 2 weapons on different tabs. Shame they didn't set up the built in comparison tool to allow for that. This might be a possible candidate for a bug report with Ubi to get them to change that, although this late in it's life cycle I don't know how receptive they still are to additions and changes.
