Again, thanks for posting a link to a well-thought-out review/impression of the beta.
It'll be interesting to see how the final product ships with the no-doubt day-one patch - as well as other patches.
Since it's a TPS I'm just not comfortable enough with those game mechanics to acquire it day-one and give it a go, unlike my willingness to do so with a FPS game - especially if it's open-world. In addition I'm simply not prepared at this point to acquire yet another graphics card after only 12 months with the GTX970.

Prepping for the Narcos: ($400 graphics card and all - Jesus Christ if my wife was alive she would be skinning me right now... ah well I didn't get much tax money back so no sense in saving up for a new couch or dishwasher or somethin' To be fair the card came with a free code for GRW and a $20 mail in rebate so I'm calling it about $320... not that it's much better)

>DISREGARD! Saw your other post on the 1070..................very nice!! Ayup went for the most bang I could get outta those bucks. You had a good very point on your post though that I need to clean up and sell my old card to offset the cost of the new card With a lot of luck I might come in $150-$200 total cost for the upgrade after I take off all the "rebates"

Having this ready to go ahead of time is a wonderful thing (and you just know there will be some big "day one" patch to download on top of it LOL). With any luck Ubi will get this thing patched up in the background and I won't have to fuss with it tomorrow when I get off work and want to do some playing It's laughable now a days because we just bought a game for PS4, popped the disk in and had to wait for a 45 GB DOWNLOAD (?!?) LOL the damn discs don't even have much on them anymore... just glorified passkeys to prove you own the thing. On top of that big DL was large patch that was another 5 or 6 gigs... crazy. The case had nothing in it - no instruction book or anything - just the cover art, the DVD and a coupon for some peripheral or another (headphones I think). Everything is online and download now

Musr...........................sssslllleeeeeeeeeppppppp!!!!!!!!! You can sleep AFTER you die Mister! Now get back in there and kill some Narcos! Well, I've taught myself I'm not nearly the marathon gaming iron man I used to be! Especially when it starts at midnight! Full game runs like the OB did, for me. Some glitches, and bugs have been worked out (dialogue with Rebel Lieutenants for instance). It is a BIG game world, and I still Ubi's "balanced for game play guns, and running around raiding enemy camps to gather kit; I as an elite Spec Ops type should have had going in! Other than that.................great!

Well I haven't had much fun I'm afraid. Turns out there are texture streaming issues with the 1070... or at least some setups of the 1070 and I seem to be one of those fellas. Constant lag and freezing even in low settings. That's a shame because the old card had no issue with it other than I had to set everything on low Guess I'll wait for a set of NVidia drivers or a patch. Sigh.

got a couple of hrs.in last night, when I went to keyboard settings and saw just the keyboard got worried, but found that you could bind the key pad so happy with that, nice to be able to turn the cross hairs off and on with the hud at the same time, got myself lost a couple of times, lot of neat stuff that is locked but if u don't want to do the grind you can buy tokens for real money what was it something like 1800 for $ 50.00 really jeez get out of town, maybe I had the luck of the silicone god had everything maxed out ran like butter, was nice to see the read out in the bottom right corner of the total v ram u have and how much u will use when enabling or disabling various video options, just played on the arcade mode, still was a lot of fun on the 1st mission, there was a house I came across that had 2 bad and 2 civs, was able to stealth and prone so I was able to line up both bad guys waited till they moved in line got them both, then thinking I would try the door ended up dropping a nade ran out of the red area, boom got an ear full about we don't kill civs a**hole, ok ok my bad, did it again at night, "well they know were here now", got to get my buttons down right, getting the package back the safe house was a different story used the car took a little getting use to got over confident went over the edge, reload time wasn't to long but had to do the mission from the re spawn point. nice that you get fatigued and slow down a little when on the run, staying off the roads and going up & down the cliffs was fun, going thru the foliage and being blinded for a second or 2 was good to not knowing what to expect on the other side, still has the flashing boxes and hud has yellow route to follow back, I could swear that 1 of the outfit's looks a little like the fc4 north army oh 1 last observation in the opening video of the boss he has the exact same vision that Pablo Escobar had during his reign of terror, word for word, that hit the nail on the head for me, so I like it so far

Thanks Willy. There was actually one that popped up for me yesterday. I installed it and got much better results in the benchmarking test. I was able to turn everything up to ultra except shadows. Shadows has the most impact on my GPU and it was maxing it out and dragging down the framerate. So I kept Godrays, HBAO+ and all that jazz, but lowered shadows to "Medium" (which is the lowest setting besides off) and I think it looks pretty enough - especially for my old eyes and being mostly in third person from a slight distance anyways. BUT sadly once I started playing again the damn stutter came back It's a really weird tiny micro-freeze that happens for a second or two every couple of minutes. Can't tell if it's when the game is autosaving or when I pass into range of a big group of people or buildings (even If I can't see them the game may be popping them in and processing them) or what... A lot of people seem to be complaining about it so I know I'm not the only one... could be my CPU is spiking in those types of situations (it seems to hover around 45% - 60% while the game is running normally). It's the weak link in the chain since it's "only" (sic) an i5-4460 @ 3.2GHz Damn game is so demanding LOL Did have some fun for a while though until I couldn't stand that lag no more. Got bored redoing the Yuri and Polito stuff again from the beta so headed north to bust up some young rich kid's casinos and resorts

Blowing up drug smuggling mini subs and setting **** on fire is fun too.................although the sreaming cartel dudes were kinda annoying ! I've detected a repetative trend in Rebel Ops missions........................and if you wipe out enemy base personnel; the rascals just move back in instead of the rebel allies taking them over?? Damn!! That's too bad about the video hitches with the new card and all (I'm going to test drive the new Nvidia GWR drivers as soon as I'm done typing). I'm getting the rare hitch or stutter but nothing bad (so far!). Hope you get it worked out soonest!
